calamari
Are there any inexpensive digital PC joysticks out there that are really arcade style? A lot claim it, but they don't look like any arcade stick I've ever seen. What I mean is the round ball handle and metal shaft, kinda like the NES Advantage. I have a Cyborg 3-D and it's great for flight sims but not as good for MAME. Thanks, calamari
Inky
Have you tried this? The X-Arcade
oesii
Have you tried this? The X-Arcade And that would be the opposite of inexpensive But I do love my HotRod SE ( http://www.hanaho.com/products/HotRodJoystick/ ), that I got when it first came out like 3 years ago for $200, makes playing Mame joystick games too cool for words

calamari
Wow, that's pretty impressive.. but way more joystick than I'm looking for. Maybe I'll have to sacrifice an NES controller and convert it for PC. calamari
IceCold
Calamari - you could try buying this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=2061574980 . It's not exactly near as good as something like the x-arcade, but it looks somewhat like an arcade joystick. The buy it now is for like $21 or something like that, not too pricey. I wonder how durable that thing is and if the base is heavy enough for good stability. I did a quick search and couldn't find any reviews on the net. For $20 I wouldn't expect too much. btw, the same seller has it for $2 dollars cheaper in another auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=2060477417
IceCold
I know, I was thinking about buying the one that is $2 less lol. I don't think I will though. I know it's probably not exactly high quality, but it's the cheapest arcade style stick I can find, unless you want to make your own by like hacking a sidewinder gamepad or anything like that(check out http://www.arcadecontrols.speedhost.com/arcade.htm or http://www.arcadecontrols.speedhost.com/ar...icx.shtml#Step4 if you're interested in something like that), and I had remembered calamari wanted to know about a cheap arcade stick, so i thought I'd tell him about that product.
