jamesk
does any one know where i can get one of thoes things he used to put the game on the memory chip and will this work for atari 2600 He's using a Batronix programmer: http://www.progshop.com/shop/programmer/ep...programmer.html You can do the same thing for Atari. How to build it will depend on the EPROM or EEPROM you use. Edited June 3, 2009 by jamesk
BigO
There are many brands of EPROM programmer on the market and a number of people here on AA use them to produce Atari 2600 games. As I understand it, the biggest trick with 2600 games is that one of the control lines needs to be inverted to work with commonly available EPROM chips. The circuit boards sold in the AA store have provision for an inverter to be installed on the board. If you're wanting to recycle old boards, you'll have to figure out where/how to stick the inverter circuitry/chip. Keep searching around the forums here and you'll find all the information you need. Searching for "EPROM Programmer" will probably get you a good running start. Edited June 3, 2009 by BigO
