Spider-man is pink in vc version of Revenge of Shinobi

This info was found out after Revenge of Shinobi was released on the Vc in Europe on August 7, 2009.

 

The change was made because of the Copyright right issues with some of the boss characters in the game including Spider-man.

While I wait for Stan the Man to comment, I'll just say wow... that's pretty lame.

 

PS: Incidentally as I sit here in my recliner I can look to my left and see a boxed Revenge of Shinobi for Genesis, but pulling it out of the stack won't tell me which version I've got unless I can play through to the bosses and I'm already busy with a copy of Wily Wars custom made for me by a friend as is. Any way to tell which release version I've got (how many Marvel characters edited or removed) from the box alone?

They're pretty easy to distinguish since the Wii version doesn't come in a box

Ha ha. No I mean which version of the Genesis game I own. I suppose I'll just have to take a break from Mega Man: The Wily Wars to find out since I can't find any web page that has release variations. Sadly this is not as meticulously documented as Atari cart variations are.
