patters98
I have just received a cart that I bought on eBay and I get the "insert game" message. I've tried cleaning the contacts with a cotton bud and some alcohol and it still won't work. I've also tried inserting and removing it many times to try and scrape the connectors a bit. My other games are fine. Is it really possible to have a dead lynx cart? I thought you could only damage an EPROM by surging it with current or bathing it in UV light. Anyone got any other suggestions or should I ask for my money back?
eric_ruck
I don't have a solution, but I can say I've had one dead Lynx cart (out of probably hundreds), so it is possible. And I wasn't able to revive it. On the other hand, I also have a working Missle Command/Asteroids cart with Mastif teeth marks in it. holygrailvideogames.com
I have had some of my Lynx game show up with the message of insert game and later they have worked. I think that maybe my Lynx system was dirty and that it was not the games.
