Christopher T Leach
So many of our local game stores are pricing thier games by videogamepricecharts.com and I don't really trust the prices...I have seen prices go through the roof for my boxed nes collection, but prices for atari games continue to fall...any scoop on this out there...what do you price your games with if you own your own store and am I the only one seeing these prices drop on atari games...Chase the chuckwagon used to be 100 cart..not its like 65 or so? Video
Mostly, it's the curse of Ebay. Why pay the "known" value of something, when you can ebay it for less? On the one hand, it's seriously damaged, or even destroyed the value of many of our favorite things, on the other hand, it's increased the value considerably on many things. Still, I'd take today over 15 year agoor so, when it was impossible to know the value of anything, other than putting it out for a price, and dropping the price when it didn't sell. Now you got a fallback at least.
