Christopher T Leach
Well as was suggested by atariage members...Destiny Games has been scoped and probed and checked for good deals.... What good deals did I find... A awesome bright bathroom painted orange and black...? An over priced dirty intellivision II, marked $79.99? Intellivision He-Man boxed not sure if it was complete because it was locked in a glass case for $89.99 And several other great deals to boot, but I picked up the following for decent prices... Atari 2600 Canyon Bomber Sears Text # 8 red label print Atari 2600 Infiltrate Apollo Blue label 1982 Atari 2600 Shark Attack Apollo Blue label 1982 Atari 2600 Space Cavern Apollo Blue label 1982 Atari 2600 Space Shuttle Activision Presents blue label 1983 Atari 2600 Submarine Commander Sears Tele games Picture label 1982 Intellivision Super Pro Football Box and manual Intellivision Mind Strike Complete Nearly new Intellivision Loco Motion Complete Nearly new with Intellivision advertisement for games inside Intellivision Buzz Bombers Complete Nearly new All these for less than $60.00 Not bad overall...the store has a smooth square feeling to it with Big Screen tv's set up off to the right side...out of the way for game purchasing space..the games were nearly all boxed for every system as if they prefer the boxes...atari games did not have boxes though...I met the owner and shook his hand then I left sort of pissy because the guys working kept suggesting that they had so much more for sale but it was in the back room...I aboslutely have to say I don't hate anything more in life than the fact that a store associate can tell me he knows what I am looking for and the only stuff they have in the back is not it, but they won't let me see it...absoultely hate it..I even told them that I drove 2 and a half hours to get there and they still shoved me off without showing me more.... Overall, it was worth my time to drive there just to check it out....what do they have left? Not much unless you like to spend bookoo bucks for overpriced misc items....the owner did tell me he could order me some brand new off brand atari controllers..."They work better than the orignals!" he says? Hmmm.....until I find another venture...so long...if you have been to this store, please do share your experience..the guys that were working seemed to know a lot about halo 3...in fact they were having a Halo 3 tourney as I was there....store was filled with young kids not buying anything....I kept saying "Halo 3, the greatest game on earth!"...oh and the store did have what they thought to be the complete system history in pictures wrapped around the upper rim of the outside wall in the store...kinda neat to view.... shadow460
I got into the Play 'n' Trade that just opened recently. They did have a few boxed N64 titles, but I noticed those cleared out like they were on sale. They've got about two of them left. Each time a new store opens up around here, they have several odd items, but as time goes on, they start to look more and more alike. You can always bet on Vintage Stock having certain movies and games, you can always bet on Game X Change having games, plush dolls, and box sets, and I'm not sure yet what Play 'n' Trade is going to have all the time. All of 'em have the same dirt common Atari games, well, except Vintage Stock. The North May location has two blue label Moonsweeper carts. I guess those are a little hard to get, maybe. I'll stick to the shiny ones, though.
