jboypacman
http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/28/game-crazy-closing-200-locations-in-october/ Chris this should surprise you how? You saw the writing on the wall a little while ago and you got out when the getting was good. It is a GameStop World now whatever we like it or not and its not like these places carry anything that we collect or play for anyhow. vdub_bobby
Game Crazy used to be cool, with lots of NES, Genny, Dreamcast, PSX games...but they got rid of all that stuff over two years ago and there wasn't anything anymore that distinguished them from GameStop. Too bad for the employees that are losing their jobs, and less competition is bad for consumers, but these days most of GameStop's competition is online retailers, ebay, Amazon, and Craigslist anyway so I don't see this as a big deal one way or another. Christopher T Leach
http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/28/game-crazy-closing-200-locations-in-october/ When I managed a Game Crazy, I would take in atari games for trade and sell them as Mario Bros, just to have the vintage stuff alive in my store...then they got lame and made me stop taking anything and everything...I got a jvc x eye through there priced as a sega on etime... Those were the days

I agree with this completely. Gamecrazy was the last major chain to sell old stuff, and it was the only thing that set them apart from Lamestop. As soon as they ditched the classic stuff, they became just as dead to me as GS. I don't care if all of the major game retailers go out of business, because they all just exist to rip people off by paying them pennies on the dollar for their trade-ins. We should be supporting the locally owned "mom and pop" shops and not these big soul-less corporations. Christopher T Leach
gamestop is going to end up in trouble sooner or later Gamestop is not endorsing the PSPgo...if the buy your cards program goes well for sony..Gamestop might be looking for a new deck to play with....Sony has to prove a contendor in this next round of downloadable content gaming generation...Next thing people will be collecting for systems is the prepaid game cards not scratched off...Who Hard Core! Christopher T Leach
This weekend marks the end clearance sale for the two hundred game crazy stores that are closing..You will be able to get games and game accessories from any of these locations that are closing..They are even closing some of the newley remodeled "Upsize Stores" in Michigan..so if your Game Crazy is going out of buisness, this might be a good chance for some cheap finds for that extra controller, or whatever they may have left...Let me know what you find, because the store nearest me is not closing...YET! All stores will close after the fourth quarter..I'm sure of it....
