Christopher T Leach
OK....so I am going through my games to get together each and everyone one of my two thousand plus Atari 2600 games and I come across something that I had almost forgotten about. And I'm thinking to myself..."You got to be kidding me!" Now that I think about it I do recall adding this to my collection.. So here it is...I have a brand new mint in box Playstation 3 console...the one that came with Motorstorm for free...I'm pretty sure it is backwards compatible, but why do I have it? I already have the 60 gig that has never had any issues that my wife bought for me around time we got married....because it just came out and I just had to have it and whoe else could spend Six hundred dollars better than myself... So the question is...Should I keep this one as a backup or just tuck it away to find it again on a rainy day sometime in the future? What would you do if you had two Ps3's or do you have two and why do you have them? I have two because my wife bought one and I won one at a stupid convention....Lamest convention I ever heard of...."1,000 Game Crazy stores by 2010...." Are you kidding me, didn't they just close like 200 according to Joystiq.com
Jess Ragan
I thought they were closing them ALL. Anyway, I suppose someone would own two PS3s for the sake of completion. You know, a launch system for the backward compatibility and a slimline console for the form factor. Collectors like to do this. It wouldn't be the craziest thing I've heard a video game collector do... I'm sure people have paid hundreds of dollars for a copy of Chase the Chuckwagon and even seven hundred dollars for a 3DO. HammR25
I'd probably give the free one to someone who would like to have one but couldn't afford it that I know, but then I'm also not a collector. EricDeLee
Sell it cheap to a fellow AA member... or trade it off for items you need. I was thinking of grabbing a second one so I can have it in my office, but I decided against it for now.
frank_c
i'm using a second (semi-functional) PS3 as a media player on an older TV. okay, it was only $70 and the BR drive doesn't work, but it does what i need it to do.
Bilnick
I have 2 PS3s (and a pair of 360s and a pair of Wiis) I don't like having to unhook a console every time I want to play on a different TV, so I have 2 of each system.
