+SpiceWare
Picked up the new Ratchet & Clank game yesterday and played a few hours last night. As with the prior R&C titles, good stuff The new Clank puzzle levels deal with time - you "help yourself" via recordings. There may be a door you need to open by standing on a button, so you record yourself doing that action. Then you play back the recording and run thru the door while your past self goes and stands on the button. It's similar to the online game Chronotron. Bonus from Game Stop for pre-ordering is just a code that unlocks the Museum Planet. Apparently different retailers had codes for different things
xg4bx
i'm not really a fan of the series but i picked this up with some spare gs credit and i have to say i'm enjoying it alot so far. the game is capital G gorgeous and controls beautifully. the story recap while the game installs is a nice and welcome feature, more games should offer something similar instead of staring at black screens. my only negative so far is that it takes a tad too long to reload when you die. +SpiceWare
Insomniac knows what they're doing. Their Spyro the Dragon game on the PSone is what got me back into gaming on consoles. The Spyro games on later consoles were done by other companies, and aren't very good (sloppy controls, poor frame rates, etc). Stewart Copeland (drummer from The Police) did the excellent soundtrack for the PSone Spyro games.
MetalSlime23
I can't figure out how to do the the damn Clank puzzle (where you record yourself). I guess I fell asleep during the tutorial.
+SpiceWare
figure it out yet?
MetalSlime23
No, but I haven't played for a few days. I'm sure I can find something online somewhere.
+SpiceWare
If I remember correctly, the first time puzzle is a single red button that opens the door. To solve it: Step on a time pad (it doesn't matter which one) hit TRIANGLE to bring up the time pad controls select RECORD AND PLAY, then go stand on the red button and open the door stop the recording (I think you do that by hitting TRIANGLE again). Step on the OTHER time pad hit TRIANGLE select RECORD AND PLAY run to the door (the recording from the 1st time pad will open it for you). +SpiceWare
This may help - I found a YouTube recording that shows a couple of the time puzzles http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTjlYRhrs3E
MetalSlime23
Thanks. I ended up figuring it out when a friend was watching me play. After doing what he told me a couple of times, it finally clicked. I seriously feel stupid. I must have fallen asleep during the tutorial (or wasn't paying attention). This game is great though, hands down. I have all of the Ratchet and Clank titles, and I think this one might be my new favorite. My old favorite was Going Commando. +SpiceWare
Finished it! The last of the time puzzles get to be quite tricky. My DVRs pretty full now
