KevinMos3
I was just thinking the other day about "why didn't California Games come out for the 7800?" I too would like to see that. What kind of board was used in the original Impossible Mission? Is it a situation where we could send our stock cart and get it back as an updated cart... or is that a bad idea? krewat
Did some more digging around and I do have a CO26423 board. It's this one. That's the one I would love to see California Games for the 7800. I wouldn't even mind seeing the beta version if you can get it to compile. Problem is, I had yet to get ALL of the source code off the old floppies. The floppies are coming apart, or at least are coated with enough grime that when I try to read them, they clog the heads so they need to be cleaned again and again. That gets me a few tracks at a time before I get read errors again and have to reclean the heads. Good thing is, I seem to be able to re-read the tracks over and over again, so the magnetic MEDIA is not being removed each time. Painstaking, but possible, just like getting IM's sources. It will be done, but time is not a commodity I have a lot of (yet). I was just thinking the other day about "why didn't California Games come out for the 7800?" I too would like to see that. I have NO idea what was used for IM. But desoldering the PROM from an existing IM cart and putting in an EPROM (hopefully with a socket) is not a big deal I don't think. Hey, if there was enough room, you might even be able to piggy-back an EPROM to the original PROM and put a switch on the cart Edited December 16, 2009 by krewat

Whenever you get around to it I'm sure we'll still be happy to see it. I was just thinking the other day about "why didn't California Games come out for the 7800?" I too would like to see that.
