moycon
I've got the Magic game on the 360 and it kicked off a mini MAGIC craze with me. I started buying the actual cards and now my girlfriend and I play a few games at home every week-end. The Magic game on the 360 is alright, but I've always wished there was more animation in the game. Instead you pretty much just play with the cards. There are a few effects, like if you play a fire ball spell an little fireball will shoot out and hit you opponent for damage. None of the creatures are animated though. It looks like the PS3 version may be more what I am looking for. Although the details are sparse, it sounds pretty cool to me and I'll be checking this game out next year for sure. http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/arcana/

Sparse is an understatement. It doesn't bode well that this is supposed to be an "early 2010" release and there's not even so much as a screenshot of a menu. Oddly, the description sounds more like the Heroscape video game I had hoped for a few years ago. I'm a sucker for anything turn based with the word "Tactics" in the title, so I'll probably be keeping tabs on future developments as well. Seob
Only played heroscape once, didn't like it, thought the game was way out of balance, to little defence shields on the dice, so that a attacker almost all the time wins. I did collect magic a few years ago, but since nobody i knew was playing it i stopped. Don't think i will get into this again, since booster packs will make it a expensive game to keep playing. You always want a extra booster pack, since maybe this time that ultra rare card u where searching is inside.
