sdstuff64
Well I was just at Borders and I saw a book called Game Now by:Lucien King.It was $25 but I said what the hell and got it. It has alot of colors in it.Lots of big pics.I have never heard of it before, and it was printed in 2002 so I am guessing it just came out. There is a bunch of stuff in here about the history of games, but most of it is about the culture of games, something that most books don't talk about. Well I really don't know what to say about it right now, looks flashy and all but looks good and looks like something different. If any of you have read it/heard about I would like to know! IIRC, it's related to the Game On exhibition running in the UK. I haven't gotten around to mine yet (still in the middle of Supercade and High Score), so I can't comment on it, but I believe I've heard someone else saying it wasn't that great. Dunno. It is pretty new and was in fact a month late as I recall.
rolenta
What can you say about a videogame book that doesn't mention Ralph Baer, has one instance of Nolan Bushnell's name, quotes Joystick Nation, and has a chapter by J.C. Herz?
