Catsmasher
What are some of the best SNES games? My 15 year old digs the classic Nintendo. We got him some "new" N64 games, but I would like to get him a few SNES games as well. He has Mario, and Zelda already. He is not big into the fighter games. If this has already been beat to death, please point me towards the latest thread Thanks Edited November 30, 2009 by Catsmasher

Ransom
Rampart and Battle Cars are two of my faves. The SNES versions of Populous, Lemmings and Sim City are quite good. Donkey Kong Country is great, of course. And, if you can find it and are interested, a quirky title for strategy game lovers is Aerobiz Supersonic, where you start up and run your own airline. Reaperman
There are a good number of great snes titles. Probably the two I'd suggest first are: Final Fantasy III. a must have. It's really got that 'Big Final Fantasy' movie feel to it and the plot also grabs people quickly. Super Metroid. Sets a great mood. A bit darker than anything else in the franchise, but that's not an unwelcome change.

GideonsDad
If he likes RPGs The 7th Saga is great (it is hard initially). If he is just a starter at RPGs Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest is good. If he likes action with city-management or "Playing god" thrown in then Actraiser is another great and unique choice for SNES. If he likes arcade flying Pilotwings is cool. Just a few that I particularly like. GideonsDad Edited November 30, 2009 by GideonsDad
