8th lutz
http://www.sunsoftgames.com/news/2009-12-03%20Blaster%20Master.php Sunsoft announced on December 4, 2009 their return to active console game publishing for the North American market, aided by startup GAIJINWORKS. Sunsoft already announced that Blaster Master will be on the vc this month. The website sounded like that additional titles coming to the US market will be announced in the coming weeks. Jess Ragan
Sounds good. Any chance we'll get Waku Waku 7 on the Wii as well?
+swlovinist
I would love for them to do a DS version of Blaster master
2600Lives
Maybe we could get a...new Blaster Master? Holy hell would that be awesome! Maybe they could also release a NeoGeo compliation disc. Now THAT would be something.
ApolloBoy
And it looks like Sunsoft now owns Telenet Japan's entire back catalog. Hopefully this means we'll get a real Valis game for once instead of that horrible H-game that was released a few years ago.
Austin
That's some good news. If anything, at least we'll be getting some VC games.
Bruce Tomlin
Victor Ireland, President of GAIJINWORKS was instrumental in helping the deal come about and will assist Sunsoft in the implementation of a publishing plan for existing titles and development plans for those that are chosen to be remade. Good to see Vic still doing stuff... but please no more of that "Yo dawg, we heard ourselves say the original was too easy so we made it super hard to appeal to the tiny niche of hardcore gamers who want to play import RPGs" thing from WD again, please. Jess Ragan
Or side-scrolling shooters, for that matter. (I actually didn't notice a difference in difficulty between the Saturn and PSOne versions of Silhouette Mirage. I found myself shaking coins out of every last enemy in both games, just so I could afford the weapons. I will say that the Saturn version is harder to tolerate with its obnoxious squeaky Japanese voices, though.)
