marc.hull
There aren't that many useful PEB cards. All you really need is a connector card (obviously), a disk controller card, and a 32K memory card. There's a P-Code card, but that's rare and kind of worthless unless you really like PASCAL and of course the RS-232 card, but that's not all that useful anymore either. I know someone managed to hack the voice module onto a PEB card, but I've never seen one for sale (I'd love to have that one). There are some modern hobbyist cards as well, but I know much about them. Tempest There is..... 1) CC triple tech card that holds real time, speech card, and printer buffer 2) various different size ram disks for instant file loading and saving 3) Hard drive controller cards for MFM, SCSI and IDE etc, etc.... These are all seen on Ebay from time to time and extremely useful Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/156494-compact-flash-drive-for-ti-994a-available-on-ebay/page/2/#findComment-1973044 Share on other sites

Tempest
Finally snagged one. My wife is going to kill me, but I've passed up on these several times now and who knows how many more he'll make? Is a compatible power supply easy to find or should I pay the $5 and get one from him? unhuman
Should be easy to find. I have a huge stockpile of AC adapters - never throw them out. Found some 9V ones from a dead cordless phone that (should) work when I finally get a day to try it out. BTW - I got away from wife trouble on this one. I bought mine on Valentine's Day Eve... She was "what did you just buy?" I was like "don't wanna tell you." She said "Happy Valentine's Day." So, I got what I wanted and didn't get in trouble. Talk about perfect presents! -H Finally snagged one. My wife is going to kill me, but I've passed up on these several times now and who knows how many more he'll make? doug0909
Quick question if anyone is still looking at this thread (I didn't want to start a new one). I just ordered the NanoPEB from ebay (which I think is an updated version of cf7+). I used dsk2cf.exe to load Robot Finds Kitten (from http://tigameshelf.net/tibasic.htm) to DSK1 on the 32MB CF card which came with the unit. Now after I turn the unit on and go into TI Basic, what do I press (Load? Run?) to get this thing going? The format is: "CALL MOUNT(drivenum, volnum)" drivenum = 1 .. 3 volnum = 1 .. x Where x is the maximum number of disk images on your compact flash card. Note: be sure to checkout TI-99DIR. It's a great tool for preparing/filling your compact flash card. +retroclouds
This is just a heads up: nanoPEB's are for sale on ebay: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 200827565332 I just bought my first NANOPEB (already have a couple of CF7+ devices) Think I'm gonna contact Jaime and ask if he can add SAMS support to the next generation of devices. +Vorticon
What I think would be most useful is having more than 3 disk drives online. It's a pain to keep switching disks around. Why can't we have DSK1 to DSKB available for example, like the IDE card?
