nathanallan
Check the flea markets and thrift stores, I found two at different times for $7 and $10.
Mark Wolfe
I think it would be incredible if there were other units like this one, but running software from other classic computers. I would happily purchase different versions for any number of computers -- the Atari 800, Apple II, TI-99/4a, and CoCo all come to mind. How cool would that be? Heck yeah, I'd love a Tandy version, but it would most likely need a keyboard for some games to work (I'm still okay with that, keyboard gaming is pretty fun). TI would be just great! yeah me too. the only thing that coms close is this new computer box that runs various OS. I posted a link to an ebay sale recently. it seems buggy but hopeful http://arcaderetrogaming.com/shop/category_100/ClassicComputer.html?sessid=qjSiQcw8tkVWA8iW31tf06zKtnOIeLwN419yBgFezTnX99iyldxns2YerMa9iJpJ&shop_param=cid%3D%
sack-c0s
reminds me - I have one half-modded that I need to finish sometime... I got it to play with the extra graphics modes/registers that are tucked away in there, but I never found the time originally. I don't get to play much of anything and they've changed the control keys around a couple of times so I can't say a whole lot about how the newest C-64 core compares to real hardware. I do hate the fact that I'm using a PC keyboard. I may have to spring for one of their Commodore key layout ones.
Mr SQL
This looks pretty cool; I'm curious how they replicated the SID? No one is producing a chip with analogue filters like the 6581; bet the sound must be off a bit due to the digital emulation when the filters are used.
