ATARI_FREAK Posted November 1, 2002 Share Posted November 1, 2002 I have MESS installed on my computer. I have the OS ROM for the 5200 and the 7800, and MESS detects them. I am having trouble with the 7800. When I double click to open the 7800, an error comes up saying it cannot start machine emulation!!! The 5200 version works great. Any help would be greatful! Belgarath Posted November 1, 2002 Share Posted November 1, 2002 this is because you can't boot the 7800 bios on it's own, right click on where it says atari 7800 (or atari 7800 nstc) and select properties, then go to the software tab and add the directory where you keep your 7800 roms. then back on the main screen the games, the games will appear in the software pane next to the system pane, double click on a game and it will run fine! however if after doing that it suddenly says it cant find your 7800.rom simply quite mess and reload it and then it will work.
