coyo5050
And keeping in with my other post of the day... Does anyone have a fully working Intv 1,3, or Tandyvision they'd part with for a reasonable price? I'm tired of getting shafted on ebay and you folks are more trusted by me. Want a Sears version? I have an extra one of those, the manila brown color is interesting but the detachable controllers are great

+wood_jl
Trying again, with Intellivision. Mission statement: I **WILL** end up with a nice, working Intellvision. I don't care (at all) for the Intellivision II, since I had the original, as a kid. The INTV III is a step in the right direction, but the controllers (and colors) of the original are what I'm after. Perhaps, after I'm satiated with the original, I may branch out. Former mission: Locate INTV with A/V mod, now deemed impossible. Missed an opportunity here on AA a week or so ago, choice between INTV II and INTV III, both A/V modded. Question: How much $$$ did those systems (A/V modded INTVs) sell for? No need to be bashful; I'm not afraid to take out my wallet for some of these things that I really want, and I would have for A/V modded INTV, so if you know how much those went for, please speak up, as a bit of a "value guide." First attempt: FAIL: I Ebay'd this. System looked pretty good. Sort-of-cheap, good seller feedback, overall reasonable price. No other bidders. Arrived. As I was un-taping the bubble wrap from it, I turned it upside-down, and I heard loose parts rattling around inside it, and at the same time, the RESET button bounced off the carpet. It was advertised as "UNTESTED" but I feel that such a designation allows for the possibility that it may be functional, while "Loose RESET button and parts rattling around inside" do much to diminish that possibility, which is indeed, the case. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 330633005386 auction pics: Second attempt: Take Your Wallet Out For A Nice One: I thought I was going to get a nice, working one cheap. I'm thinking of the possibility (perhaps) of sending this off to someone (who???) to A/V mod one day. MINT condition would be nice! Unfortunately, they don't go cheap. Had to get into a bidding war for this one, today. But if you look at the pics (assuming they're representative) it looks really nice. Many boxed games, too. Still, not exactly free. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 300619874600 This time, the box looks kind of like a piece of shit, but the INTV itself seems to look nice (advertised as mint) and my hopes are high. If this doesn't work, I guess I give up.
boxpressed
Good luck with the second attempt. I was watching the first auction because I had a canvas cover BITD and wanted to know if they commanded any kind of premium. Guess not! The second attempt looks really nice. I lucked into a brand new, open box unit in a mixed lot of stuff I bought several weeks ago. It's beautiful -- nothing like mint original Intellivision with no dings on the metal. If the second one doesn't work out for you, I stumbled across this listing today: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 260888257386 I've never ordered from the seller, but it's encouraging that he uses DeOxit and guarantees against DOA. Very cheap right now too.
+cmart604
That second system looks REALLY nice. Hope it works out for you, if so, that price will be worth it. I really believe it's worth paying extra to get a fully functioning, mint condition one of these. If you need more games I'm sure some of us here can help you out. As an aside, I spoke to someone who had been considering offering INTV mods (not Yurkie, who also decided against doing so) and he said it was just more for the convenience of using composite over RF and that the video output wasn't appreciatively better for what it's worth. To that end, he didn't feel it was worthwhile for him to offer the service.
AlvinKarpis
Your second Ebay buy looks amazing, I really hope it works so you can get playing some INTV!
townparkradio
Maybe I suck at estimating value, but I'd say the games you got on the first one are worth the price paid for the lot.
pimpmaul69
Sucks the way people ship stuff. I had a sealed xbox game that was shipped with a label slapped on the outer wrapping of the game for all to see. Im lucky i even got it. Lucky for me it survived. AlvinKarpis
Im posting this here because this is my home, and the guy did have an INTV 2 with 40 games that he sold to his friend before I contacted him! I saw a listing on Craigs List for an Atari 5200 with Trackball that works! So I emailed him and gave him my cell # and he texted me back So I made him an offer and he accepted. Ends up he had a two port 5200 (which is awesome because I just bought a 4 port off of Ebay because I was dying to get a 5200 to play the awesome arcade ports) So I get it hoe and the system the controllers and the track ball all work perfectly! What are the chances of finding a working 5200 in the wild with working controllers?! So when I was leaving I said hey if you have any other vintage systems or games text me That night he texted me that he had a Commodore 64 with all the extras and over 200 games that worked flawlessly, along with a Sega Master System that worked like a charm with 20 or so games I trusted him and I jknew he took good care of his systems, so I made him and offer and after some back and forth we made a deal! An awesome deal So from this guy on Craigs List I got Atari 5200 w trackball and working controllers Commodore 64 with every add on you could dream of and 200+ games, 2 original Commodore moniters that both work Sega Master System with the Light gun and two controllers with 20games (including my 2 all time favorite Sega games, Out Run and Afterburner) Everything works great, as soon as each system was hooked up it fired up right away and I played some games to check everything out and it all works! My best purchase in the wild for sure Im very excited
