Tropicana is NOT sold out... you have to call them up and use the code on the CGE website to book. All non-CGE related rooms are sold out though, and for some reason you can't book through the website with the code.

The CGE Code Booking was sold out over two weeks ago. If you got a room , it was a glitch. HHW

I did call the reservation number and gave them the code, but I was told they are completely booked on the nights of the 29th, 30th, 31st.

Anyways, Vegas has lots of hotel rooms. :P

Out of curiousity, I just called the Tropicana again. This rep told me that there are a few rooms left with the code. But it took her over 5 minutes to find it; where the rep I spoke to yesterday must not have bothered looking because, right away, she told me they are sold out.

Oh well. But Mayhem is correct. The Tropicana is NOT sold out for CGE guests. Just make sure they look for the group block of rooms when making your reservation.

Thank you for allowing me to clarify.

Guess I better get everything lined up for the trip! Just submitted my vacation request, plan to fly to Vegas Wednesday night or Thursday morning to have some site seeing time. Will book the hotel room once my vacation's confirmed.

For people looking for places to stay, There were rooms at the Imperial Palace that were pretty cheap. Granted it's not the Venetian, but I don't plan to stay in my room much anyway =). Anyway, got the whole weekend for less than $200 for a single king bed. I ordered from their website. Check it out if you are interested. If you haven't been out to LV before, you will want to get a room on the strip, preferably towards the northern end, instead of downtown, as you have to ride a bus, then a monorail, to get to the Tropicana. Quite a long ride each way and about $10 for the trip. Hope this helps anyone still looking.

Just wanted to drop a note for anyone wanting the stay at the Tropicana where CGE is held.

I just reserved my room today, so there should still be rooms available. You need to call the 1-888 reservations number with the CGE code in order to book the room at the special rate. As others have said above, the rest of the hotel is booked, but NOT for CGE guests. So, please help CGE pay for the show expenses by staying at the Tropicana. :) Thanks.

I am definitely going , arriving on the 29th and leaving the 2nd. I am all set (although not staying at Tropicana). I have gone several times in the past and never met anyone so I am looking forward this time to meeting some of you guys and gals from atari age
