ataridave
I have an SNES that I could play this on, but there are reviews all over the place on this game. Some people say that Capcom butchered the PC version, others give it a 9 out of 10. What do you all think? I mean, the PC version came out in 1988, and I don't have a PC for DOS gaming, much less one that could run a game that old.
StanJr
The only thing I have heard is that it is hard. Like very hard. But a lot of RPG gamers love it.
gdement
I have no experience with the computer versions so I can't comment on how accurate it is. But just make sure you know what to expect from a Wizardry game. They're extremely difficult, by design, and not big on cutscenes or storytelling. Some people reviewing games like this will slam them because it isn't like Final Fantasy.

I don't have a problem with a high difficulty setting, or the fact that these games aren't like Final Fantasy, but I appreciate the advice nonetheless. In fact, I would love to pick up Wizardry: Tale of the Forsaken Land for the PS2, just because it is so old-school in it's game play. Well, the SNES release of V isn't that expensive, and I've never known Capcom to screw up a port of anything on the SNES-IMO, they and Konami are my 2 favorite developers (besides Nintendo, of course) for both the NES and SNES. Forsaken Land is awesome. That was the first Wizardry I played in recent years. It got me interested in tracking down the older Wizardrys recently. It's more forgiving about death than the older games but it's a lot of fun. Wizardry 1 (NES) slaughtered me as a kid but I'm enjoying it now. I'd go for it. I don't know if there's any inaccuracies, but it seems well made. Many people call this version their favorite RPG ever.
