+Rev
i wonder if they will be reissues or new games? i cant wait to see if this really comes to fruition ===================== Official intellivision Facebook same owner as intellivisionlives.com This is from the Official intellivision facebook page this week: Intellivision We had planned to a couple years ago, but the tech guys who were going to manufacture them pulled a bait-and-switch on the cost. (It is more difficult to produce Intellivision carts than Atari 2600 or ColecoVision carts; Intellivision carts have built in latches and addressing hardware.) Then we had our cash flow tied up in the unreleased DS cartridge. Now that the DS is moving forward, we are getting the limited-edition collector carts back on track with a different hardware techie on board. (i wonder who asked him the question ) Edited March 13, 2010 by revolutionika

Here is what i'd like to see. An updated version of Burgertime with extra levels like the game here. I wish this game was on an Intellivision Cart. jaybird3rd
Keith Robinson talked about this during an interview some years ago. I think he mentioned that some of the unreleased games (Illusions and Deep Pockets), and some of the rarer INTV releases (Spiker, Stadium Mud Buggies) would be the ones most likely to see limited-edition cartridge releases, at about 500 cartridges per game. I'm really hoping they can finally do this; it would be great to have these games on real cartridges, and the prices are bound to be better than inflated eBay rates. Cebus Capucinis
i don't know.check gamestop or the intellivision website.what could the bonus be? Checked both, doesn't look like it's a big enough release to warrant a pre-order. I just wanted to do it so I could already have a guaranteed copy! jaybird3rd
One issue that occurs to me about the collector's edition cartridges (and I'd post this to Facebook myself if I had an account): I really hope Intellivision Productions limits purchases to something like two copies per game per collector. Otherwise, if they do a release of 500 copies of a rare game, some prick out there is going to scoop up all 500 and then resell them one at a time on eBay. cparsley
Here is what i'd like to see. An updated version of Burgertime with extra levels like the game here. I wish this game was on an Intellivision Cart. I hate playing games with the keyboard. http://www.yoyogames.com/games/6571# I tried this on your recommendation, and only made it thru Level 14 before I wanted to toss it in the Recycle Bin. For starters, Game Factory games just suck. Plain old suck. Okay, with that aside, lets get to the good and bad of this... Good: INTV levels (1-6, 14) were done nicely (WITH THE EXCEPTION of level 5, see cons) The "created" levels were actually decently thought out. I give kudos to the designer for this. It's freakin' BurgerTime! Cons: For a game that is "based on INTV Burgertime", there is no reason to MESS up a level design of an original INTV level. Case in point is level 5, the middle platform does NOT break up halfway down the platform. The speed timing is off, The chef is set to run too slow compared to the enemies, so that normal patterns have absolutely no way to work here. Don't try to bun off a piece at the beginning of the level like you can do in INTV BurgerTime here, or you'll be dead. Sacralegic level designs, having three EGGS on a level? Anyone playing BurgerTime know regardless of the format, there's ONLY 1 EGG per level, any additional up enemies are filled in with pickles, not additional eggs. Speaking of enemies, it could of been cool to bring additional enemies in the game, if they didnt want all hot dogs/pickles. The graphics from say Diner could of been lifted as easy as BT was to allowed the Mug 'o Root Beer, the banana etc to be used as well, allowing additional enemy patterns to be available, as they were in psudo-3D layout when they were on the INTV. The Collision Detection here just sucked. Many times the game registered death of the chef, but still said the bun completed and dropped it with the baddies on it. In addition, there were times the pepper turned the baddies into being frozen, but ALSO killed the chef too. (WTF!) The game also squished enemies below who were on the ladder (and not underneath, and dropped enemies on level when they were ABOVE the bun piece. The only Pause is between levels??? Come on, any GameFactory game can pause... I didn't try out the internet version of the game, maybe that might make it rather interesting, but as a solo-play it was a bust. I may go and recode an INTV BurgerTime to include new levels playable right on the INTV platform, instead of game factory... off to coding I go

cparsley
some have asked, subbing data out for a new set in an already existing INTV game isn't that hard to do, and with Burgertime it's actually a simple play, as there are set data codes for chef start, buns, ladder, platform, pepper placement in the levels. The only problem is level 1 is the only "pieces of burger" being shown, with 2-7 having just the last piece shown, meaning your design ability on level 1 is limited by allowing for that bun space. One other neat thing is u can redesign the title card maze too I'll get an example up soon
jeremysart
Keith Robinson talked about this during an interview some years ago. I think he mentioned that some of the unreleased games (Illusions and Deep Pockets), and some of the rarer INTV releases (Spiker, Stadium Mud Buggies) would be the ones most likely to see limited-edition cartridge releases, at about 500 cartridges per game. I'm really hoping they can finally do this; it would be great to have these games on real cartridges, and the prices are bound to be better than inflated eBay rates. Spiker and Stadium Mud Buggies would be SWEET. I would for sure snag a copy of each. And hopefully they do put a limit on "per collector", because some prick WILL buy up most of them.
