8th lutz
I own a Sega Saturn and a Playstation. I am looking at getting In the Hunt. I am not sure what version to get.
Ghost Soldier
I'd go with the Playstation version.

Chris Leach
Playstation version hands down it seems to run better on the PS1 oddly. I have both copies and after playing the Saturn version last night for the very first time, I would have to agree with this Jboy guy... Playstation 1 had a better version for sure...although there are times of major slowdown on the game which might suggest it should have been on an inferior system like the neo geo or something... The_Laird
I personally think the saturn version is better - no slowdown at all
Austin
Having owned and played both (having the Playstation version first), I feel the Saturn version is better. There is not nearly as much slowdown (if any), and it feels like your ship moves quicker. Not to mention, I will take the Saturn pad over a PSX pad any day when it comes to shooters. Jess Ragan
Oddly, it's supposed to be the Playstation version, which is unusual because the Saturn generally handles 2D games better. Dracula X was the same way, but mostly because Konami was never fond of Sega and phoned in all its ports to that system. Austin
So, I just checked out some videos of the game, and it looks like the PSX version is indeed better, when it comes to slowdown anyway. Man, I hate it when my memory fails me! Back in the late '90s, I originally owned the PSX version. I then bought the US Saturn release when it was about ten bucks or so on the used market. I think the reason it stuck out more back then was because of the inclusion of the fmv intro, the remixed soundtrack, and the seemingly faster move speed on the sub. I probably didn't notice the slowdown that much because at the time I was also playing a lot of Metal Slug 2 on the Neo CD, haha! Get the PSX version if you want a smoother experience. For how cheap the Saturn version is though, you may want to eventually just pick up both. Edited April 19, 2010 by Austin

I recently had the PSX version and sold it when I got the pcb. The PSX version is a very good port gameplay and graphic wise. The slowdown is just about the same as the arcade version. Saturn fixed the slowdown....guess thats a bonus.
zylon
I've had both and stuck with the Saturn version. Although, most of the games that I've played on both systems, the Saturn versions seemed better. Shame the plug got pulled way too early.
