There's several answers available on the internet, such as 159/160 x 96/192/196. I'm guessing the answer for the tiles is 160x96 (20x12 8x8 tiles). The guys in the INTV Yahoo forums have seen some of the INTV graphics I've done, and I've used the resolution 160x96 (broken up into 8x8 cells). I believe that's the correct answer, and you can confirm this by looking at the splash screens for Thunder Castle. I think you're right about the sprites having a higher resolution.
