7800 A/V mod value

Hi,

 

My friend knows a guy who is looking to sell a 7800 system with all the goods, including the fact the console itself has been modded to audio/video. Does anyone know how rare these are and if I should jump in and buy it before he sells it? Is the picture and sound that much better than normal? How much should I expect to pay? I could probably pick-up one of Ebay not modded for $40 so I just want to make sure I get a good deal for my $$$.

I don't think the mod adds too much value to the 7800 because there's plenty of documentation on the internet on how to do it inexpensively. So you can always do it yourself. Now if you aren't inclined to doing that, then maybe its worth more to you.

 

I got a nice 7800 setup complete with 14 games for around $40 last year, so be sure to shop around. Systems with some games are running around $30-$40 on ebay these days I think so don't pay too much more.
