PS3 - 3D Dot Game Heros

Recommended Posts

Don't know if this has been brought up... I didn't see a post about it so I thought I'd start one.

Looks great! I will be buying a copy very soon.

Do you think they went too far? I know people are saying it's a homage and some are saying it's down right theft. Personaly I think it looks wicked and long overdue. It was "A Link To The Past" that got me hook, line, and sinker and still 18 years on I play that game. If I go longer than a year I start getting withdraw symptoms and the Snes has to come out... or at the very least an emulator just to get me through those rough times.

I won't continue this more than this post, as we already have a thread in the PS3 section.. however, people who say it's just theft are probably Nintendo fanboys and have never, and will never play this game. The game is amazing, and if they are upset someone thought of a CREATIVE use of the Zelda franchise for consoles before they did, then oh well ;) :).

To be fair, it's not even a copy of Zelda so much as it's a tribute to older style games. There's a megaton of references to tons of other games, from the 8 bit days all the way up to Mario Sunshine. It's funny, it's fun and refreshing, never repetitive, and gorgeous. You won't be disappointed.

Last but not least, the creation system is one of the best ones I've ever come across. The possibilities are endless. Literally.
