atari_aaron
I purchased a sega genesis controller because it is compatible with the 2600. It works just fine for 2600 games on the 7800 too. However, for 7800 games it has a problem with the second fire button. I just purchased Xenophobe for the 7800. Playing the game I can used the Genesis controller thumb pad to move the character and the far right fire button to shoot, but non of the buttons control the "grenade throwing". In fact, once you pick up a grenade, (when playing with a Genesis controller) you automatically throw the grenade. Where as with the 7800 controller, you must push the left fire button to shoot, and the right fire button to throw grenades. Does anyone know how to alter a Genesis controller so that it is compatible with the 7800 right fire button? +Mitch
There are instructions for this mod in the 2600 FAQ.
