ThumpNugget
@ThumpNugget: It's really great to see you back and uploading your top quality scans. I have a closet full of Byte magazines that you are welcome to. I live in Portland, OR and would be willing to ship any of them to you (no charge to you of course). Let me know if there are any specific issues you are looking for. Hey there.. Thanks I appreciate the offer.. To be honest I don't know how long I will be doing this. I am just going until the equipment gives up.. Could be tomorrow, could be another year or more. I currently have 37 mags left to post (five of those have been scanned but not yet posted).. .I've just completed updating the first post of this thread which shows which mags have been done and those I have not yet scanned/posted. Here is what is missing (looks like 17 mags): Vol 00 (1975) Complete Vol 01 (1976) Complete Vol 02 (1977) Missing: Mar, Jul Vol 03 (1978) Complete Vol 04 (1979) Missing: Oct, Nov, Dec Vol 05 (1980) Complete Vol 06 (1981) Complete Vol 07 (1982) Missing: Jan, Feb, Sep Vol 08 (1983) Missing: Jan, Mar, Apr, Jun, Jul, Nov Vol 09 (1984) Complete Vol 10 (1985) Missing: Feb, Mar, Dec Vol 11 (1986) Complete 1977 and 1982 would be the priorities.. 1982 has the Atari articles that have never been completely scanned. Have any of those? Edited October 12, 2013 by ThumpNugget

AtariRage
@ThumpNugget: Here's a spreadsheet of the Byte issues I have. It's in LibreOffice format, but I believe that commercial spreadsheet applications can open it such as Excel or Numbers. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3870608/Byte.ods If you need any of them, then please let me know by PM where to send them to. I had an entirely complete collection of Byte at one point, which I sold off, these are the spare issues that I purchased when buying people's collections. high voltage
Could you scan Vol 11 No 12 1986 and Vol 10 No 12 1985 (maybe I overlooked them here?) please? For some reason I got 11 (Nov) 1985 and 13 1985 and 11 (Nov) 1986 and 13 (Dec) 1986. Edited October 17, 2013 by high voltage
Keatah
Vol 11 No 12 1986 and Vol 10 No 12 1985 were already scanned by someone else. They were on some link buried in the thread. They are not Thumpnugget scans, and the latter is a marcus scan.

avalanche
Hello all and Dragonstomper, tyvm for your excellent contribution to those of us that used to subscribe to BYTE back when personal computers were being hatched . I was trying to convert my library to PDF but decided to see if it was available on DVD instead, then realized I could not find it for sale anywhere. Happened upon your 'goldmine' and jumped for joy ! I admit I am a bit guilty for contributing to your recent bandwidth usage as I have acquired the entire archive over the past week. As I have also a significant set of the issues, I am reviewing what I have , perhaps I can contribute something to your collection. I will let you know what I have, perhaps I can scan some issues myself and send them your way. The drawback is the free software I am using does not OCR the text so I may be able to send you image files instead ? In any case thank you again for sharing your time ! Caveat : I still have my original 2600, 400 and some of the cartridges from years past ! I can still remember some of the computer shows I went to in L.A. when it was all new. Cheers
KiwiArcader
Indeed. Thanks ThumpNugget. Last time we spoke it was about your rescanning Antic or STart and then you disappeared off the face of the earth. Great to see you back around here with or without your amazing contributions to the preservation scene.

Keatah
Is the back cover missing from this latest scan? Also the contrast , brightness, and saturation seem a little on the high side. A 10% reduction might be a good thing? Details in the cover are blown out, and there is too much contrast in the b/w mega-board ad at the back.
