Akito01
I feel like this is something I want to do, but I don't know if I can. I mean, I have some programming skills, but the only games I've made in recent years have been in Flash using Action Script. In other words, all my programming knowledge starts with Basic, and that's always been a useful base knowledge for me to work with just about any other language I've come across since. What I don't know anything about is assembly. From what little I've read so far, this might be a large stumbling block. Is there any hope for someone with semi-novice level programming skills to start trying to write for the Intellivision?
GroovyBee
I'll be starting a series of game programming tutorials soon. They'll cover the basics of sprite movement (MOBs), sprite animation, collision detection etc. The rest is up to you .

Hopefully I'll be able to get a working Inty soon (I'm afraid I was simply cheated in my last shopping spree on ebay... but that's a topic for another section of these forums ) and once I'll be able to see again the good ol' games running on the original hardware, nothing (not even my wife! ) will stop me from making some homebrew that can, potentially, run on my newly found system! I moved from BASIC directly into Assembly back in the C=64 days, so that's obviously possible. I suggest you take a look at the following resources: IntyLab WhitePapers IntelliWiki Tutorials The first topic on this forum also points out some other resources, such as available emulators and the IntvProg mailing list. I hope these help. Cheers! -dZ.
