zylon
What is this add-on? It plugs into the far left slot on the back of the Vic-20 and has an AC plug coming out of it.
Mayhem
Hmmm, not sure actually. Posting this on Denial might yield some answers...
ApolloBoy
I had something just like that, it's part of a system that allows you to time the lights and other devices that are plugged into your outlets.

One of those homebrew bsr-x10 house controllers. So, in other words, no practical value. I was going to just toss it since it wasn't anything I'd need. NightSprinter
I'm sure there's someone here who can make use of it. Especially with the Holidays coming up..

Trade it, man, for something you DO want. I'd offer but can't afford to hardly pay attention right now. Trade it!!
tjb
I agree. I'm quite sure there's someone out there who would want it. tjb
zylon
If someone paid the shipping, I'd give it to them. For now it's in my junk box full of old tv/game switches and INTV carts.
nathanallan
I would love to get it but can't, so passing it on for you.

rockman_x_2002
I'm sure there's someone here who can make use of it. Especially with the Holidays coming up.. My thoughts exactly. How cool to incorporate a VIC-20 in a good old-fashioned light display. Now if you could just find some 1980s era decoration and lighting sets to complete the package.
NightSprinter
X, you just got repped for that idea! Think of the awesome 80s party one could set up with that in terms of lighting!
dragos
That is most likely the ViController. Looks exactly like mine. Here is a link to a .d64 of the software
OldAtarian
Can it do this?

erd
That is most likely the ViController. Looks exactly like mine. Here is a link to a .d64 of the software Your link didn't survive. I'd want to open it up to be sure, but the User Port definitions of the VIC-20 and the C-64 are almost certainly close enough that the ViController should work on both. It's probably just using the ACIA-emulation pins and skipping the RS-232-voltage-conversion step. I have the "official" X-10 serial controller ( Make your ST a Powerhouse ) with a C-64 cable. I used it for years to turn my lights on and off at night. Lots of fun.
