Atari 5200 with sound problems

I recently picked up an Atari 5200, working 5200 joystick, 5200 track ball, an Atari 7800 (with original power supply), 7800 joysticks, and a few carts for $15 at a garage sale (what a deal!). Everything works great except for the 5200 console which has static for sound. I took it apart, cleaned the inside, and reseated the chips without any luck. Does anyone have ideas about how to fix it? Perhaps one of the chips went south? I'm hoping to fix it instead of buying a new console. I have Miner 2049er withdrawl. Any help would be appreciated.
