Very cool game!

The last time I play that one was at my local arcade ... they close in 1990!

23,200

Get all the letters in order, spell ARABIAN, and get a 4,000 points bonus at the end of the round. (at lease for the 2 first round)

BTW, this game required a 8 way joystick ... Mine was still set at 4 way on my fisrt game ... it's easier to crawl with an 8 way :ponder:

I HATE that platform level... really annoying.

Agreed...I think the way jumping was designed in this game shows on the third and fourth "pages" how much of a better job could have been done.

Also, on the fourth page I feel disoriented in regard to exactly where my Arabian is located in respect to the bad guys and magic carpets on the screen. The first two levels are nice but the next two are ugly.

I was watching a youtube video on this game and the comment was made in the video that falling will not kill you. Umm... falling kills me on the 3rd screen from time to time. Seems like you can only fall so far. Am I playing with something set wrong? I went over the settings and all again but I feel the need to ask. Is there something wrong or are others seeing this too?

I also agree, jump should have been a button here.

Also, what would happen if you mapped player 1 up as a botton? That could actually work I think. I'll have to try it when I get home. Not true to the game, and I wouldn't submit those scores, but I could enjoy the game alittle more.

You can die if the magic carpet traps you on the edge of the screen. Also, there is a timer which can kill you off as well. This is another flaw in the game as there is no way of knowing how much time you have left on the level. I only discovered this on the first level in attempt of scalping points thinking that there was no timer and therefore no incentive to progress past the first screen.

When falling down near the edge of the screen, hold the joystick down, this way you will be in the crawling position when you hit the floor and the carpet will fly over you.

The only way to know that you are close to run out of time is to have a look where the ARABIAN letters are. This will change to a Skulls progress bar, when the progress bar gets to the right end side, you are dead. I don't know if there is a special sound to let you know to hurry up, I never notice it. A warning similar to the one in Bubble Bobble will have being a good idea.
