Awesome!  Looks like you made it past at least one Molobros (big dragon head boss)...

 

I haven't really seen anyone break 10,000 points, even though that should be *very* possible in normal mode with a little practice and knowing how everything works.  While levels 8 and above throw everything at you, strategic play should allow you to survive for quite a while - as with most score attack games, the overall challenge shifts from reflexes to endurance at that point.  

 

I'm planning on posting a video of tips and strategies for Dragon's Descent, since I've seen too many streamers overlook a few key features if they go in cold.

Thanks for your kind and helpful reply @Revontuli! I did make it past one Molobros on the cartridge. I've had more success on the online JS7800 (https://raz0red.github.io/js7800/leaderboard/?d=77164df89ae49b4dd72906a21e787233). There I beat the normal game and got 5500 points, just 24 points more than my cartridge score. So, I'm making progress. If no one has gotten 10,000 points, then I'm more than half way there! Challenge accepted!

I'm looking forward to your video for tips and strategies!

I'm having a blast with it! It's the first homebrew I ever bought and it will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for making such a great game! Now, onto high scores (when life and duty allows  )!
