Tr3vor
http://ps3.gamespy.com/playstation-3/yars-revenge/1135512p1.html With that picture, all I can say is WHAT THE f!@#? You modern game devs have beaten all your franchises to death, so now you are going back to beat those to death too? If this is real, then I'm real dissapointed by this, but maybe it will be a good game in the end, but I'm not too thrilled about this. BDW
You're a bit late to the party, but I still agree.
jaybird3rd
There's been a lot of discussion about this in the 2600 section. One thing I did notice from the article: Launched in 1981, Yars' Revenge would go on to become the best-selling original title for the Atari 2600. Was Yars' Revenge really the best-selling original 2600 title? By "original," I'm assuming they mean something other than an arcade conversion (and yes, I know that Yars' Revenge started as a port of Star Castle). xg4bx
i'm not offended by it, there are far too many cool classic IPs that have been allowed to sit and rot, yars being one of them. i'd much rather buy a new yars revenge or haunted house than another bleeping call of duty or assassins creed. i'd figure that people would celebrate the fact that these ideas are being re-introduced to new generations. i've only played the demo but the haunted house remake seems like a ton of fun. Tr3vor
Darn, need to search things (although, most of the stuff that comes up in search is useless junk)

I can just imagine that with that mask off there an anime girl on there. Bet she's hot too. Seriously, I'm not bothered by reinventions like this, so long as they have some relation to the original game.

Yeah Yars still is my favorite Atari game, i do hope that it has some relation to the original. I am glad they are doing a update.
