Atari forever!
Lexis is supposed to have a hidden game of Galaxian in it. According to The Atari Times review, quote: Other cheats result in strange special effects, and, if you’re good enough, activate the hidden game of Galaxian. Galaxian may also be activated using the code that Carl Forhan has thoughtfully provided on the Songbird website, but this method does take some practice -- and the code must be entered quickly and with no pauses. Lexis plays a mean game of Galaxian (although sound is lacking), and it is worth the purchase just for this bonus alone. I checked the Songbird page for Lexis. Here is the link: http://www.songbird-productions.com/lexis.shtml I am not sure how to do this. It doesn't seem to work. Does anybody know how? Also, how would you access Galaxian if you used a cheat warp in the game of Lexis itself? Thanks!

Atari forever!
Google is your friend: http://www.stageselect.com/7483--Codes%20Cheats--lexis.aspx Yes, this is precisely the code provided on the Songbird Lexis page that I provided a link to. The problem is that I couldn't get it to work. The Atari Times review says something about doing it fast and just right, which is kind of vague to me. Do you know precisely how to put that code in? You can't do option 1 and then option 2 because option 1 will take you to a different screen, so it must be simultaneous. But the other buttons (left right up down) cannot be done simultaneously, so how do you do it?

I can't get the code to work either, but are you sure you are entering the code on the contents page like the instructions state? I'm confused by the "start the Pages game" .... what is that? Yes, I am definitely pressing the buttons on the table of contents page. Start the Pages game means to have it set to the "Pages" game instead of the "Standard" game. That is how I have it set but the code doesn't work. Surely others here have gotten it. Anybody?
Mark Wolfe
how do you set it to play the Pages game? I'm missing something with that.
Atari forever!
how do you set it to play the Pages game? I'm missing something with that. There are two main modes of play: standard and pages. On the table of contents page, go to options (it's right under "Play Lexis") and select "Pages" instead of "Standard," which I believe is the default setting. It's pretty simple to do. mmbe
I brought Lexis to JagFest 2001 and asked Carl Forhan from Songbird to show me how to enter the code. It took him several attempts to do it. I have only been able to get it to work correctly a few times. It seems you need to find the sweet spot when entering the code. I'll have to give it a try and see if I can get it to work. Sorry I don't have a magic answer that makes getting the code to work any easier. Songbird
Hey, everybody, Sorry the code isn't easier to enter! I did just pull out my personal Lexis cart and my Lynx, and verified it works. Nothing special I can tell you, though; it took my about 5 tries to get it right. Just enter the code with the Lynx vertical, and enter it fast. mikewilkinson
This doesn't work for me either. I've tried like 50 times. Is there a sound or something that confirms this cheat has been activated? In what direction should I hold my Lynx? Because that controls the directional pad directions. I followed these directions: "Go to the Table of Contents screen and press Left, Right, Left, Right, Down, Up, Option 1 and finally Option 2. After you have done that, start a regular game of Pages." Edited March 10, 2022 by mikewilkinson needed to add more information.
+jgkspsx
At this juncture you may want to just wait until Microvaders releases as a standalone and much gamier game

The secret Galaxian game is probably just a gimmick to sell Lexis anyway.
+jgkspsx
I mean, it’s an easter egg that the Shadowsoft folks put in their game… I just did it without a hitch: Took me two or three tries. I pressed both option buttons at the same time. 13650. Good enough for tonight.
Songbird
As I mentioned earlier in this thread (ten years ago -- where does the time go?!?), hold the Lynx vertically. You need to enter the code rather quickly; don't do a deliberate "one button per second" thing or it won't work. This was an easter egg in the original Lexis game when Songbird acquired it. It's a fun little demo, but clearly unfinished since it has no sound, minimal animation, and very high difficulty. I have extracted and disassembled the game, and am actively working on adding better graphics, sound effects, difficulty ramp, and new enemy types. The new game will be called Microvaders. You can see a sneak peek of the new graphics in the Songbird news blog.
