Intellivision Ebay Roundup

If you are buying thinking they will increase in value you are doing it wrong. Yes it will crash, we are getting older and our kids will toss the collections in a Goodwill box someday.

This is probably pretty accurate!

I just keep buying all the homebrews because I love my collection and hobby and it's fun keeping it up.

Definitely not an investment for me because I won't be the one selling it off or giving it away.

I'm sure it will be hit or miss for my kids.

80% will be worthless 20% will have some resale value.

Hopefully I can at least steer them in the right direction on what's what before I pass.

If my wife will survive me and finds out the insane amount of stuff I did (and in the future will continue to 😎) cumulate she’ll have immediately a stroke and join me in the after life!!!😱😱😱

That could be a major problem for me!😳😳😳

But, luckily, I will be in Hell and she will go in Paradise!🤠🤠🤠😎😎😎

I am in the same boat.  I told one of my sons that he is in charge of deciding what to do with my collection when I die. Keep, sell, etc.  My wife would donate it all to Goodwill.

Isn't there a famous saying that goes something like.... "My biggest fear is that I'll die and my wife sells my collection for what I told her I paid for it"

I’m pretty sure my whole collection ends in the dumpster when I’m gone.

OMG !

I create a google sheet I share with my brother. He knows my collection costs a lot.

So, each unit, each games are in my google sheet with the average value.

I advice my brothers to contact some people in AA (from this forum lol) and to use eBay if I die... 😅

Honestly, I've instructed my wife to simply post the entire collection as 1 lot on eBay. It's not the best way to maximize a full 125's value but it will net her the biggest return she can get with the least amount of effort. It's also likely the best way to make sure it winds up in other collector's hands rather than Goodwill or a dump.

I could also just will it to someone in this community as a backup plan but then I'd worry about getting shanked in Portland by one of you shifty types!

I promise I won't shank you if you will it to me.

I made a joke recently about doing something dangerous and my wife said, "Can you leave a phone number for these Luc or Cmart guys so I know what to do with all these old games if you die."

I just (finally) scored an ECS (the brown PAL one) off eBay.  It was a tad more than I wanted to pay, but the UK seller was using the Global Shipping service so I didn't have to worry about finding a way to get it here.  Actually even with the shipping cost, and the seller taking my offer, it came out to about $250.  Many of the ones I've seen, sellers won't ship to USA directly.  Has a few of the inner cardboard, no manual or AC adapter (wouldn't work for me anyway).  Used an NES brick, and it worked straight away!  Now, why did I need the PAL one?  I'm just a stickler with OEM stuff matching and wanted the brown one, ha ha.  Not a fan of the Intellivision II either, so wasn't going there.

Lol. I was the first bidder. It has a tiny variation from the French one I have.

Please post pics of both when you get this one.

It’s the same as I have. Now I’m interested what variation you already have. :)

This might qualify as one of the most minor variations ever when it comes to Inty catalogs and paperwork but here you go.
