edintv
Looks Awesome!! Nice find! Yes, and I don´t know if you notice, there´s also a manual sheet in several languajes and not in picture a photocopy of a catalog, seems from the time. Please correct me if I'm wrong: besides the english manual, there's a seperate manual sheet with different languages on it? If so, exactly which languages are on the sheet? French on one side and German on the other side? Mine has French on one side and German on the other. This explains a lot. I always wondered about these Bomb multi-language manuals, but they turned out to be sheets. BTW: Splendour is vaporware. I want to ask you about the Web page Atarimania, I can´t see the images for the rarity numbers in 2600 carts, But had no problem in the 400/800 pages, I need to fix something in my browser? Rom Hunter
I want to ask you about the Web page Atarimania, I can´t see the images for the rarity numbers in 2600 carts, But had no problem in the 400/800 pages, I need to fix something in my browser? No. From now on, the VCS section will only work with Holy Grail rarity, which means that there are three or less carts know to exist of a certain version. The rarity 1-10 scale is removed for good. I'm sorry, but it won't happen. I guess collectors just have to get used to our Holy Grail rarity system. Don't get me wrong: I'm in for a good guide, but it has to be a trustworthy guide and a Rarity 1-10 scaling for VCS carts just isn't. The other issue with rarities is the difference between CIB and loose. Just because a guide says two games are both R4's that doesn't mean that it's just as easy to get a CIB of each game. Rarity scales are so damn misleading and way too subjective imho. Price guides are even worse.

We all know that a Rarity 7 cart is "somewhat" rarer than a Rarity 6 cart and that a Rarity 6 cart is "somewhat" rarer than a Rarity 5 cart etc, but I'm still waiting on an answer of someone explaining to me in detail what that "somewhat" exactly is in verified numbers and facts, instead of a gut feeling.
