0078265317
I took it apart 1 more time now it is better. The problem is the rollers are super rusty. One is smooth left and right. Up and down is stuck now. Not as free. Do anybody sell new roller. Or maybe I'll try some clr tomorrow.
CrazyChris
Looks like the trackball case is big enough to be a video game console.
0078265317
Top loading nes was small. But atari wise probably not small. It wouldn't fit.
ATARILUVR
Thanks for sharing these cool pics of the trackball. I would try to clean them if it was me. Hate to waste something that might be salvageable.

VectorGamer
The rollers are too rusty to clean. The rollers are fine. Here's what you need to do: Obviously, remove all three from the controller. Spray the rust with Liquid Wrench and sand with fine grit sandpaper. Clean the rollers of the goop. Next, remove the ends of the rollers that house the bearings. You'll see port holes on the flat sides. Take some 3-in-1 Oil and let it flow down the holes. Lastly, clean the optics in the controller with an air can and some rubbing alcohol. Put everything back together and it could be as good as new. I did this for my Centipede arcade trackball and my ColecoVision Roller Controller. Both work like new. Regarding Liquid Wrench, I have a Pole Position cabinet and the accelerator has three springs in it. I found two replacement springs at Home Depot but not a third. The third spring was so rusty and for the heck of it I sprayed it with Liquid Wrench and sanded it. I couldn't believe the results! The spring looked brand new. S1500
Was the trackball a smoker?

S1500
What do you mean? You mean the enviorment it was kept in? 'twas joking. I noticed the trackball isn't 100% white. After 30 years, understandable. But it looks like it has that natural yellowing of plastic, or it's been around an ashtray.

That is the intended color of the cue ball.
