emkay
If you like to abstain from a colour graphic set, but include some colors in highres anyway, you could also apply the PAL-mixing scheme which I applied here: http://www.atariage....16#entry1786016 A quick (incomplete) mockup how this could look (note: stripes are not visible on PAL and colouring is exposed also on skipped lines (more intense)). Sorry, no time for the driver now. Hm.... having just one offset in colours between blue heaven and green grass may help to have the enemies not looking odd coloured. Rybags
Ofcourse hires is needed. You have a more precise movement with it. Precise? Looks to me like it's moving on half-character increments. Multicolour wouldn't make any difference there.

In the PAL post yes, not in this thread (to busy to setup my real hardware & TV). Here I just liked to show how the night and day mode in the game could differ. snicklin
The font that you now use is a lot, lot better than the Spectrum font! Instead of the "Range" indicator flashing, could you use something like the flashing panels in Novagen's "Encounter". Take a look at the flashing panel here at 0m 51s. A PMG could be used to produce this.

emkay
ACTA changes nothing. Have a look at Youtube, and look how they manage "law" . It's an official site, handling copyright already. ACTA is only for the content behind the scene. Searching for solutions to cut off people using other's intellectual property to earn millions and millions. If ACTA works as it should, they probably will stop those "cease and desist" crap to small people doing some small hobby, because they finallly can get the big fishes easily.
