Taskmaster99
I have been on a Williams HOF kick for the past month. I have been playing this for hours on end on the 360. I guess it just brings me back to when i was a kid and arcades actually existed. So for all of you out there....what are your favorite and least favorite tables in this game?? Faves ------ Sorcerer Medievil Madness Pin Bot Space Shuttle Least ----- Gorgar(Cheap ass bounces!!!!) Taxi Whirlwind
Gabriel
Favorites Medieval Madness Sorceror Taxi OK Space Shuttle Firepower Black Knight Indifferent Gorgar Whirlwind Funhouse Hate Tales of the Arabian Nights No Good Gophers PinBot
moycon
Hate PinBot Oh no you didn't. I need to play this again. I have it on Wii and 360 and haven't played it probably in over a year...maybe more. Great game.
keilbaca
I honestly really like every table. I could play any and all of them for a long time, and not get old. ^_^ I should do a youtube video of one of my pinball runs... in particular, Whirlwind. I've played an over half hour game on that before.
S1500
I had no idea there was another compilation for the 360. I just have the rather underwhelming PS2 version. Sure, Fun House is on there, but I wish there were more of 'em. I love Medieval Madness! Played at the MN State Fair's "Pinball on a Stick". I might have to pick this up with my Best Buy reward points.
Gabriel
I had no idea there was another compilation for the 360. Both the 360 and PS3 versions are excellent. They're among my top favorite games this generation.
moycon
I might have to pick this up with my Best Buy reward points. Might? Come on!! These version are in high def!! Best of all, a new copy is like $20 or less now. Replace "might" with "definitely" and you're golden.
S1500
So I checked a few things, and the 360 version just has 2 more tables than the version I have. Not worth $20. C'mon Williams, quit being stingy with these pinball games on consoles. Add more. way more!
ComputerSpaceFan
Love: Spaceshuttle, Pinbot, Sorcerer, Black Knight, Firepower Hate: well .. dislike really, can't hate any of them ... Fun House, Whirlwind (too many toys to keep track of) and Jive Time for being notoriously easy for side drops. Actually Hate: the trophies on my PS3 version are too basic, why did the game have goals but only trophies for easy completion stuff, and no Platinum??? Really Really Hate: that they haven't made any more (and no, Gottleib Collection doesn't count as it came out first ... at least in Europe)

C'mon Williams, quit being stingy with these pinball games on consoles. Add more. way more! Its three tables... and they redid all the tables. The details are a LOT clearer in 720p. Medieval Madness, Arabian Nights and No Good Gofers were added. Reserving this space for a video I just recorded... 188 mil on Whirlwind. moycon
Agree with keilbaca, I also have the Wii version. I actually like using the triggers for flippers better than the Wii-mote and yeah I already told you in in HD (High Definition!) It's way worth $20. Hell it was worth $40 when I bought it new. onmode-ky
Reserving this space for a video I just recorded... 188 mil on Whirlwind. Damn, and I thought my 116 million was good. I got the PS2 version back in 2008, and my enthusiasm for it sold a few copies (probably mostly for the Wii) to some others. Last year, after the PS3 version had a price drop, I picked it up, too. The leaderboards feature finally let me see just how good I was in comparison to other pinball players. I don't really have favorite tables, though Funhouse and Whirlwind seem to mesh with my play style well. However, I do have a table I absolutely can't stand: Jive Time. Almost every drained ball on that table feels like highway robbery rather than a justified loss. Ironically, my score on that table put me really high on its leaderboard, within the top 15, back when I was playing. Also, Pin*Bot's left outlane seems to be a ball magnet. That's my only issue with it, though. Medieval Madness gets repetitive when trying to do the whole battle (which I've come close to accomplishing but never have; it's one of the very few table goals I never reached in the whole collection). onmode-ky
S1500
I played some rounds of Pin*Bot last night. I got almost all the challenges except getting the bonus up to maximum. How do you do it? Yes, that game seems to be a huge magnet for outlanes. When I first played it last night, I got no more than 60K since most of the balls in play just outlaned out after a few seconds. Jeesh! Almost got the 575K challenge done in Firepower. Either way, the Williams pinball collection beats out the Gottelib ones by far, emulators or real thing. Rex Dart
GORGAR WILL EAT YOU! </Helloween> Gorgar is great.... though Helloween were correct when they called it a "fuckin' machine of hate". The actual table is haaaaard. Also rad: Arabian Nights & Medieval Madness. The rest in the collection don't get a lot of play from me. I am looking forward to the upcoming 3DS release, though, and hope that it has Medieval Madness too. Edited May 6, 2011 by Rex Dart

RJ
like: Space Shuttle, Whirlwind, Pin*Bot not so much: Black Knight, Firepower (glad they put those upstairs out of my way), Fun House
moycon
Played some of this yesterday. Didn't really get into it too much as I didn't have my old game save handy, so just started fresh and played. I played Gorgar, Space Shuttle and Sorcerer. After playing Pinball FX so long, this game seemed a bit slow. (The ball I mean) Still had a lot of fun! Going to find my old game save and play some more soon!

S1500
Got 20 million on Fun House. Yay! Only ever got 12 million in the real version. I was kicking ass in Black Knight, and then the game tilted itself! The machine started vibrating lightly without me even touching the thumbstick. Mind you, when I've played pinball IRL sometimes you do so well the machine tilts all by itself. Must be the ball influencing the gimbal. Anyone else get this? Sadly, Best Buy doesn't carry the 360 version of this. Williams is missing out on a great opportunity here. Sell individual tables on XBLA for 200 credits each so we don't have to wait forever for a compilation of them. I would gladly pay 400 credits to play Star Trek:TNG pinball, or anything else from the mid-90s to now.

The PS2 version didn't include Jive Time or Sorcerer (They were exclusive to the PSP and Wii versions at the time). So you'd be getting a compilation with 13 tables, instead of just 8. Combine that with the HD makeover and it seems like an obvious decision to me to buy this on the 360 or PS3.

Austin
Garrr... *feels sad for self* I went to Best Buy today, expecting to walk out with a $20 Williams Pinball Collection package.. But NOOOOOO... I ended up walking out with a $30 Mario All-Stars Wii package... (because they didn't have the Williams collection that I saw two weeks ago)... grrr, Best Buy sucks... ...but so do I, for buying the other... D'oh. PS: How does the Wii version hold up? I didn't see it today at Best Buy, but it seems to be more common at, say, the local GameStop (Sacrilege!!!) stores...
NightSprinter
My favorites so far (having played the PSP version) were Sorcerer and Taxi. I absolutely LOATHED Black Knight, as an odd bug caused the ball to clip through a flipper (forcing me to be unable to progress in the Williams Challenge).
