Rex Dart
Williams is missing out on a great opportunity here. Sell individual tables on XBLA for 200 credits each so we don't have to wait forever for a compilation of them. I would gladly pay 400 credits to play Star Trek:TNG pinball, or anything else from the mid-90s to now. Shit, I pay about that much every two weeks to play that game at Pinballz in town; I'd gladly pay it in MS Point form to have a copy at home. Atariboy
PS: How does the Wii version hold up? I didn't see it today at Best Buy, but it seems to be more common at, say, the local GameStop (Sacrilege!!!) stores... The Wii version is very nice and many prefer the motion controls on that version for nudging the ball. But if you have a Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 available, get the best version of the game available. The collection is great on the Wii, but it's significantly enhanced on the HD systems. ComputerSpaceFan
I was kicking ass in Black Knight, and then the game tilted itself! Anyone else get this? I do on my GameCube version of Gottleib Collection and I reckon it is because my C stick is wonky. It's a GameStop knock-off, not an actual GC controller and the C stick doesn't properly center in some games. I never have this issue on either my PS3 nor Wii versions of Williams Collection because those controllers center properly. Maybe try a different controller? PS: How does the Wii version hold up? The Wii version holds up in my opinion. True it's not as beautiful, but to be honest, the improvement on the PS3 is not as big as one would expect. And True you are missing three tables. But, using Wiimotes feels closer to really holding a pinball machine in your hands and without a doubt, waggling to shake the table is a million times more intuitive than using thumbsticks. If Williams ever made a new collection (please o please o please and have Bride of Pinbot, Black Knight 2000, and Roller Games on it!!!) I would have a hard time deciding which version (Wii or PS3) to get because the controls are that good on Wii. Christophero Sly
Swords of Fury is one I'd like to see. I wish they'd do a Midway compilation too--Doctor Who, Addams Family. Licensing issues probably make those an impossibility though.

onmode-ky
I do on my GameCube version of Gottleib Collection and I reckon it is because my C stick is wonky. Regarding nudging/tilting in Gottlieb Collection, I have it for the PS2, and when I got Williams Collection for the PS2, one of the improvements that I was delighted to see was the nudge control sensitivity. In Gottlieb, pushing the analog stick all the way to the edge would tilt the table; to nudge without tilting, you had to only move it lightly. This was difficult to manage under the conditions of intense play (and didn't mirror reality, since real pinball nudging does not depend on a soft left thumb). In Williams, you have to move the analog stick ferociously to have a tilt. Anyone up for sharing high scores? Or would that be too off-topic? I mean for every table, not the occasional mention we've had thus far. onmode-ky P.S. Anyone else really liked the music in Williams Collection? Some of it was composed by a programmer at the developer (FarSight Studios) at the time, Chris Kline, AKA Vertexguy, who is known for a very well done electric guitar rendition of the Contra Level 1 theme. He toured with Video Games Live for a bit, I believe. In Williams Collection, his is one of my favorite pieces in the soundtrack.

I LOVE the music from Williams pinball, one of the very few games that I don't replace with my own music. When I do my Let's Play of all the tables (starting tonight with the one table I found I hate the most... Jive Time), they will be close to or high score breaking games. I've gotten over 100 mil on FunHouse, over 200 mil on Medieval Madness (180 mil last night), and I almost rolled the score twice on Space Shuttle. S1500
Okay, I just ordered it off of Amazon(actually Target). Where do some retailers get off charging $60 for this game? Some of the prices for video game titles range from great(ie a great deal) to "costs more than a just-released game(ie more than $60)". Yes, the Williams Pinball background music is good. The Intellivison Lives! background music is annoying as hell.

S1500
For those looking for other tables............Virtual Pinball............... I tried it, for about 30 minutes and simply could not figure it out. You run an installer to run the program, each time? It made absolutely no sense. It makes MESS look like a streamlined, well-polished product. All I got was an LCD display to some newer game to show, but nothing else(no pinball table, etc).
NightSprinter
S1500, did you download any table files? I know the one I play (Baby Pac-Man) will not work unless I have both, and launch the table (not just run pinmame).
S1500
S1500, did you download any table files? I know the one I play (Baby Pac-Man) will not work unless I have both, and launch the table (not just run pinmame). I downloaded one of the later games(forgot which one) that had an LCD display. The zip file contained only ROM files, so there was no corresponding graphics files. I looked through the PinMAME list of user-made tables, and honestly didn't see anything made after 1987. Nothing appealed to me. But that is not what turned me off to it. It's the insanely user-unfriendly setup of it all. While there is always a degree of tinkering needed to get emulators running, this takes derp to a whole new level.
Austin
Thanks for the responses regarding the Wii version. I was going to snag that one since I can't find the 360 version locally, but I had no luck with that one either. Guess I will order a 360 one online when payday hits. onmode-ky
the one table I found I hate the most... Jive Time Hehe, yeah, join the club. I've gotten over 100 mil on FunHouse, over 200 mil on Medieval Madness (180 mil last night), and I almost rolled the score twice on Space Shuttle. Does that mean ~20 million on Space Shuttle? I can't quite remember where its counter stops. Killer Funhouse score, by the way. Cebus Capucinis
Arabian Nights? Medieval Madness? No Good Gofers? Is that DLC or something? Unlockable content? I've never seen those tables on my Wii version, but I also don't go into the Virtual Shop to look for DLC ever. If they're cheap enough, I may have to pick them up! I shall remember that lesson. As others have stated, I like the Wii version quite a lot, so I don't think I'll seek out the other versions just for the additional tables. I play Taxi the most anyway. CGQuarterly
I've been looking all over the place for this game, and can't find it anywhere. S1500
Just got it in the mail. Started at 6pm, and I've unlocked most of the standard goals. How do I turn on the dang background music? not the noisy-ass soundtrack, but some games seem like they are missing their bg music. Space Shuttle doesn't have that trippy soundtrack. CGQuarterly
Local chain of used media stores didn't have a SKU for it either. Maybe this one is going to end up being a rarity. I just ordered a new copy for $23 shipped on Amazon. I would suggest that anyone else looking for this game do the same. All of the cheap copies disappeared from eBay, and GameStop doesn't have a copy within 50 miles of me and I live in a densely populated area.
