SlowCoder
Curious question ... What is the benefit of modding a FlashBack console to play cart games? Wouldn't it be just as easy to use a normal console?
atarigal
I've been wondering this too.
Wickeycolumbus
It's much smaller and generally has better video output. There are several games that it won't run though.
keilbaca
It's much smaller and generally has better video output. There are several games that it won't run though. Pretty much this. The output video of the Flashback 2 likes capture cards and LCD tv's a LOT more than the majority of the composite a/v mods. If you build the Harmony cart internally into the Flashback 2, it is a very small Atari 2600 that you can easily take on trips.
SlowCoder
Ok! That seems like a pretty good reason to mod one. I might have to look into getting one.
tz101
What games will the modded FB2 not play?
RevEng
Theres a compatibility list that includes problematic games in this thread. It doesn't include a lot of homebrews. I'd expect more of those to fail, as they're more likely to use undocumented/illegal opcodes that aren't implemented in FB2.
