Tempest
Forgive me if this has been asked before, but if I own a Cuttle Cart 2 is there a reason to also own a Harmony cart? Is the Harmony cart basically Cuttle Cart 2 that only works with 2600 roms or does it have other functionality? Tempest
+SpiceWare
It does have other functionality - Frantic won't run on a CC2 as it offloads processing to the ARM CPU in the Harmony.
disjaukifa
And because of the new DPC+ kernel I think you will start seeing more games made for the Harmony/Melody (I could be wrong about those being only supported on Harmony/Melody). Also the bios updates to Harmony are adding more functionality all the time.

lucifershalo
and it is so much easy to put roms on the Harmony than on the CC2
Tempest
and it is so much easy to put roms on the Harmony than on the CC2 Yeah the CC2 is a bit of a pain, but it works. Still, it might be worth getting the Harmony in the future.
lucifershalo
for the price, that the Harmony costs....yes!

+Random Terrain
no comparison there, H1 is for cheap players or very limited developers How so? Sounds like he's either trolling or very confused. Isn't the Cuttle Cart also used by 'cheap players'? And how else would you get your work in progress into an Atari 2600? Do non-limited developers use their awesome mind powers to get their .bin files to play on an Atari 2600 (no Harmony/Krok/Cuttle cart required)? Tempest
Whoa! I didn't want to start some sort of argument, I was just asking what the difference between them was. Let's keep it civil people.
SlowCoder
... or does it have other functionality? Tempest I'm surprised RT hasn't already volunteered this little secret, but the extra space on the SD card is a great place to store your favorite pr0n, or maybe your top secret plans for world domination.
