Tr3vor
Sup, Atariage. I've bringing my GBP to school to play Link's Awakening during D.E.A.R (drop everything and read. its after 2nd hour and lasts 30 min) I just keep it secret . so I've been playing the Game boy pocket a lot, and just today I turned on my GBC to play pokemon gold and realized how bright, clear and crisp the colors are and how there is no ghosting, so I came up with this topic: What is your favorite LCD screen for any handheld. Mine is the GBC due to its bright and clear picture it has. Edited September 22, 2011 by Tr3vor
Animan
The OLED screen on the GP2X Wiz was one of the most beautiful screens I've ever seen on any handheld device. It was very crisp, had great color, brightness, and perfect for emulators. That is, until it begins to suffer "screen rot" after a year (read: black dots that gradually get bigger and perform a hostile takeover of the screen). The 3DS's 3D screen is also really nice, even without the 3D on. Very bright and vibrant.

Rex Dart
Not the GBC; not a fan of screens you need perfect lighting conditions to see. Unfortunately, this includes the otherwise-great NGPC. I think the PSP-2000 and DSi XL have terrific screens, though. DS Lite and the 3DS are nice, too. The absolute worst I've seen? Original gameboy, lynx, and game.com.
Rex Dart
doesn't the 3ds's top screen dim when you put it in 3d? Thats what I've seen. It sorta gives half brightness to each eye individually, rather than the full brightness to both eyes that you get from normal screens. I the worst offender of needing perfect lighting conditions is the original GBA X( It was hard to see inside with a direct line of sight with a huge effing florecent light. I never liked that about the GBA Luckly the gbc isn't that bad
Rex Dart
Yeah, GBA was awful for that, but if I need to take my GBC into the bathroom or outdoors to play Kirby Tilt 'n Tumble, something's wrong.
Reaperman
I'd probably say gameboy micro. The screen is bright, and the reduced size makes it appear sharper than other screens. GBA SPv2 is right up there though.
Algus
I loved the screen on the Game Boy Pocket. I've actually been thinking of buying one lately since my old grey beast doesn't work as well anymore and I can just play the few GBC exclusives I have on my GBA-SP
Amstari
The Dingoo A320 has a great screen. I used to have an original GBA and a GBA SP. The screen on the original GBA screen was useless unless you had really good light. The SP version was good though.
4Ks
PSP 3000 and GBA SP ver. 2 both have really nice screens. They're as bright and sharp as a TV. As far as non-lit screens go, Neo Geo Pocket Color deserves mention for being so easy to see.

When you turn the 3D on, the extra layer that divides the two images dims the screen, like putting on a pair of modern day 3D glasses. The 3DS compensates for this by increasing the brightness, so it appears to look the same. If you look at the screen from the top (turning the 3DS towards you), flipping the 3D switch on and off will show that the brightness increases when the 3D is on. That's mostly why having the 3D on drains the battery.

Thats a hilarious avatar! anyway, I only have a psp 1000, I got that for its bulkiness and durability, but the screen is DARK I have to have the lights off and the curtains closed to see everything almost, I wanna see how a newer psp looks outside, thats what I want, one that I can see outside. The 3000's screen is very good, its not perfect and is shit in bright sunlight but still usable. I love it, its crystal clear and very sharp. Austin
DSi XL, easy. When I saw that screen light up for the first time after unboxing it, I already knew my money was well spent! @Trevor though, I hear what you are saying about the GBC. Likewise with the NGPC, they are great, crisp screens. Too bad about the lack of backlighting on them though. famicommander
The v2 of the Game Boy Advance SP may have a brighter screen, but it also has a lower refresh rate. My favorites are the Game Boy Micro, Nintendo DSi, and PSP-2000. The SEGA Nomad also has a nice screen, particularly for a system that came out in 1995. And of course the 3DS, but that is hardly a classic console at this point.
