Or you start a new game, then you can see the previous highscore on the lower edge. This is the way I did. Sorry, I play the games on a real console and an old TV, then taking screenshots from there by a camera is always a bit difficult. I just saw the score you posted and a 4x by the tire/wheel icon so I was thinking you were still playing. I punch the screenshot key immediately after losing my last life so I'm not just taking a pic of the black screen with the scores on it. Guess I'll have to transfer the rom to my 128-in-1 cart so I can play it on my CV. I don't know how well it will handle with a standard Coleco controller, but it should do well with my Power Stick. This game is one of the best for the CV...I almost wish they'd done more with it...maybe a couple of extra screens. It would have been a killer Super Game for the ADAM Computer. Joe B. jblenkle Posted October 9, 2011 Share Posted October 9, 2011 Yeah, that bird is a toughy the second time. It zips by you pretty fast. I guess you have to be going the exact right speed to catch it. My last play through I caught it entirely by accident on the 2nd level. I was accelerating and accidently jumped just as I got under it, which just happened to be as I got to the part where you jump or die. 9,630 I was not able to get the Bird on the second level. even with 6 lives left!! Every now and then when in the stage where you are going downhill Thor will occasionally jump prior to the large jump he needs to complete. Basically it goes from going downhill to flat and he will jump without my input and obviously end up falling to his death. I thought it maybe my controller but if that were the case I would expect to see random jumps in the other stages of the game which I do not. Has anyone else experienced this? I always get stuck at the parts where you have to go across the water jumping on the dinosaurs heads...or I guess they are turtles backs...don't know for sure. I usually always get clobbered by the fat broad on the first one. Then, for some reason, after playing this thing for what..25+ years???...I just now figured out instead of going straight across, your time might be better spent jumping back and forth on the first two heads/backs until you can time jumping on the third when her club is up and not down. Although, on the first run through, I found that with the water scene with the fat broad can be completed simply by pushing the joystick right as soon as the scene starts and holding it there. Also, at this point the turtles do not seem to completely submerge. However, at the next water scene with the dinosaur I just couldn't get my timing right and kept drowning or being killed by the dinosaur - this is where I need to practise. I'm also curious to know what speed people tend to use for the meteor scene. I typically run at 50mph for most scenes (to get the 4x multiplier on points) but found the meteor scene just too difficult and so had to reduce my speed down to 30mph to reliably get past this scene. skosh Posted October 13, 2011 Share Posted October 13, 2011 13,940 Frustrating how this ended as I could not complete the jump in the third stage to get to the falling rock stage. I think I need to slow down more. I was going 60 going into that screen and kept dying as I tried to slow down. LOL - you guys are killing me.
