adventure si: MAN that's what i'm TALKING ABOUT! god amazing how that makes a low res clunker look SO much better. proper gradient choices for the different areas could REALLY make the game look like something special. I know you aren't going to change the hack anymore, but let me just say, that's a shame :-)

aint that a shame, my tears fell like rain

Can hardly wait. Soon as the post is out, I'm ordering. Thanks again for the headsup!

I'm eagerly waiting to have a copy of my own on cart too! If you want to play it on a 2600 and you have a Supercharger, Beer Gnome reported earlier in this thread that it runs fine on his unmodified one. I haven't tried that yet.

We need a label before it can go on sale, which is what I working on now. I've enlisted the help of a talented local artist to help me with an original design for the label art. I'm going to be seeing him this weekend to discuss the design so he can get started. :)

Honestly...If you call yourself any kind of an original Adventure fan and DONT pick this title up when it hits the AA store, You might as well just pack it up.

Sell your collection,

Leave your spouse,

Quit your job,

Use the $$$ you got from selling your collection and buy booze and heroin.

Find a gutter or an ally way and start drinking and shooting up until....

Well look.... Just save yourself the trouble.

This game is SO much fun, you'd be a fool to NOT pick up a copy.

Take it from me!

Well, no not the cart..... the advice.

Get yer own.

I couldn't wait.

Very Nice! 8) I had a nice label made up from an existing picture I found on the web, but I need to do something completely new and original for AA for copyright reasons. I expect to have my label completed for the AA store within the next week.

:D I Agree! Seriously though, thanks for the vote of support. I feel so humbled, I think I'm starting to blush.

i still think itd be 'that much' better with gradients

Yes, Godzilla, I know that you'd like gradient walls in this hack. :)

I actually prefer the look of the solid colors, because it looks more like the original game. If you can convince Channel 2 to work on making gradients on my hack for you I would have no problem with that, but I'm not going to do it myself. Sorry.

Ok time to try this out.. problem is I see a lot of file attachments here on this thread.. which one is the definitive and final (so far) Adventure +?

I was continually replacing the original linked file with the latest version, so any of the previous links will give you the newest file.

Here's the link again to the final version:

Thanks :) I would've tried it out earlier but since I run XP, the emus on it always suck for some reason or another, so I'd rather use the Cuttlecart.. but sometimes it gets to be a project to get out the 2600 and hook it up to the tv etc. :|

But hey.. it's Friday! woohoo! :D

I'm looking forward to seeing the new label also! Can't wait to see what the artist you asked to help you comes up with. :)

I'm looking forward to that too! :D The artist (Alan Hollingsworth) works primarily using pastels on paper, so the result should be very unique compared to existing label designs. I've got a 2400dpi scanner, so I'll scan and crop whatever he comes up with into the final label. His art has been published before on the cover of a magazine, and he has done the Compact Disc Label art for a rock band. Cool guy too!

Here's an example of one of his prints from his website: (It's a low quality thumbnail scan, but it still looks pretty cool)

He's a big Atari fan too, and was willing to work on this free of charge! Of course, the fact that he's an old college friend helped a little. :D

Just a quick update for those that are interested. The artist I'm working with has several designs completed, I'm going to be meeting with him in the next couple of days to review his work.

I'll post a thumbnail scan of the final design probably sometime early next week. :)
