+bfstats
However, in case demand exceeds supply (likely), I would suggest, Albert, that you prepare for the unruly hordes to storm the castle! Are you speaking literally or figuratively? If I miss out, I'll be leading the charge!
+swlovinist
Please put me on the pre order list then, if the game will only be sold with a box. Looking forward to playing this one.
Thomas Jentzsch
Maybe i can answer some questions: the price is that high because of a) the box, b) the game is 32k Sitz 16k RAM requireing special hardware, c) license fees and d) Therese is the joint work of two Main programmers over many, many years in it. licensing a game is not something easily done (all credits go to Andrew Here) the 250 carts are Part of it. so chances for more copies are unclear. this is only an announcement., not a reservelist. but we are very interested to find out the Dekane. DJ Badger
I'm thrilled to hear that "Boulder Dash" will finally be seeing a release. I know that this isn't a reserve list, but I wanted to express my support, and I'll be more than happy to shell out $75 for this one when the time comes. Back in the mid-to-late 1980s, "Boulder Dash" was a big hit in my household; both my mom and I played it incessantly on our old Apple IIe, and often would brag to each other about which levels we'd reached. She passed away back in 2007, so this game strikes a particularly sentimental chord with me. To finally be able to obtain a copy of the game on my favourite home video platform would be a really big deal... so I'm hoping I don't miss the boat when the game becomes available for preordering. Thank you very much for all the hard work that's gone into this!
ZylonBane
It's a shame the title music uses the glacial PAL tempo instead of the correct NTSC tempo. Such an easy thing to fix too.
high voltage
I think there should be a double release....Boulder Dash and Boing! are you listening First Star!!!!! And Boulder Dash should have a First Star style box? Too late obviously Edited October 29, 2011 by high voltage
Mayhem
Indeed... I know there's a label contest, but if possible, using the traditional Boulderdash artwork would be great... http://vc.nintendolife.com/games/c64/boulder_dash/cover
high voltage
Uh no, stick to the Atari original, that 'Boulder Dash' C64 remake font looks way off (micro fun right?) Edited October 29, 2011 by high voltage
Tickled_Pink
Just wanted to let you guys know how much your efforts on this project are appreciated. Was never a big fan of the game but have a friend who was absolutely nuts about it (still is). So could be the perfect christmas present. He'll have to get a 2600 first, though. Such an easy thing to fix too.: Probably because that is how Andrew and I remember it. We are borh from PAL land, you know. But I think it could be easily fixed for PAL mode.
[d2f]Iggy*SJB
I was originally #33 on the old pre-order list, and I'm fine with the $75 price tag. Please keep me on the list, as I'm looking very much forward to playing this baby! (My new wife just discovered my Christmas gift.
Pengwin
I love what's been done with this game. Although I am not a 2600 user, I am a huge fan of the original Boulderdash on the A8. What Andrew Davie and Thomas Jentzsch have accomplished with this is truly inspiring. Great work guys.
marc
Is there a PAL version available? or will it be NTSC only? The game is switchable between PAL and NTSC, so you can play anywhere with just the one cart. Cheers A GREAT idea !!! Please add me to the list :-) ...Marc
Thomas Jentzsch
if anyone is wondering about my silly writing : my new smartphone defaults to german language and i haven't figured out how to switch to english temporarily or how to disable automatic spell correction. birdie3
Simply amazing, guys. This is the sort of thing that completely justifies classic video gaming. Respect in the highest form to all the parties involved. Really looking forward to buying a copy.
moycon
It's a shame the title music uses the glacial PAL tempo instead of the correct NTSC tempo. Such an easy thing to fix too. It's also a shame in the 9 years you've posted here, you've only posted like 5 positive comments when commenting on something. Can anyone confirm if this title will be available for Christmas? In addition to an awesome title....this would make a great Xmas gift!

draw
Totally aware that this is NOT the pre-order-thread, I'd like to join the panic and state here nonetheless that I'm definitely going to buy one cartridge if only you let me... (sometimes beeing annoying can be better than being left out. i guess...)

+Andrew Davie
Can I keep my #52 slot from the old list? The old list is dead, so anyone with their name on that will need to re-preorder. There will be no priority given to subscribers; it will be pretty much first come first served, I think. Cheers A
