J.Max
Pay by Paypal. At least then you have some recourse. NEVER pay by Western Union to a zero feedback guy. Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/18966-0-feedback/#findComment-200934 Share on other sites
MrRetroGamer
Pay by Paypal. Let me enhance that suggestion, either use your CREDIT CARD to pay with paypal or send him a personal check. Paypal does not defend the buyer very much, but your credit card company will help you out if you need to dispute the charge. Otherwise, a cashed personal check is a receipt of payment if you need to have proof. Snider-man
I'm a *seller* who gets antsy when I get a zero FB bidder - especially if it's a higher dollar item. I look at the auctions that the guy is currently bidding on. If he is bidding on multiples of the same item (ie, 34 copies of Kingdom Hearts), I know he's an idiot and I cancel his bids. If he's bid on $4,000 worth of crap and there's 8 pages of bids, I'm likely to cancel his bids. However, if he's bidding on just a fw items, I may e-mail him to confirm his intentions. Haven't been burned (too badly) yet. Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/18966-0-feedback/#findComment-201527 Share on other sites
MrRetroGamer
Yes, it may be a good idea to politely email the (0) bidder to confirm their intentions. If you don't hear back promptly or if you get an email that was written by an idiot, I'd cancel the bid right away. Haven't been burned (too badly) yet. In the "fine print" accompanying many auctions, I've seen many people state something along the lines of, "Reserve the right to cancel bids from sellers with feedback less than [insert some low number here]". I would also get antsy if I was running a high-dollar auction and the high bidder was someone with Zero feedback. I would immediately email the bidder to confirm their intentions. This can also hurt your auction overall, as other bidders may think this Zero feedback user is running up the price of the item without intention to pay, and they may then decide not to bid.. ..Al Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/18966-0-feedback/#findComment-201799 Share on other sites
joeybastard
I can see the point of being wary of 0 feedback bidders but weren't we all zero feedback bidders at least once? sku_u
I can see the point of being wary of 0 feedback bidders but weren't we all zero feedback bidders at least once? I can't remember back that far As for 0 sellers, I usually don't bid. 0 Feedback buyers, I contact and if I don't get an immediate response (within 24 hours), that tells me that they are not serious and I cancel their bid.
