roadrunner
I did try the atari800winplus i still get that garbage screen. What settings does this game need to be set on to start?
+therealbountybob
I can't get Mighty Jill Off to play correct. I Dl'd the fixed xex This is what it looks like. Think it's PAL only so in altirra select "System", "Video", "PAL" remember to put it back afterwards unless you want dig dug at our speed (you don't!) [the game just starts so get cracking as the seconds are ticking away!] OK folks I'll make the case why I think Dig Dug Wide is the better game better tune better sound effects graphics not as cute but bigger playfield, clearer graphics? dragon fire better... most importantly playability; faster movement and you can usually catch the baddies with the rocks making it more fun to play. & tastier fruit [you move faster than them so can catch escaping baddie] [you can multiple rock crush baddies more easily making the game much more fun] scores: Wide 59,730 Lv1 4,620 Lv2 8,330 Narrow 38,480 Edited November 7, 2011 by therealbountybob

+orpheuswaking
Careful, I might start suggesting games to play again - Hmmm, what can I suggest after Lone Raider & ROM?
+therealbountybob
OK definitely 100% narrow is the better game played both for a decent session - in narrow you can out run baddies, so you can catch the escapee, you can multiple rock crush baddies which makes the game 100% more fun didn't beat either score but improved on the bonuses: Lv1 (1man) 5,240 Lv2 (1man) 9,050 Mr.Dig does level up every 10 screens (screen number part of level's playfield ) so start on any level you like... baby

Goochman
Dig Dug Wide - 16690 What a horribel release this was..........I heard they have this to someone who never programmed a game before at Atari and was written Fortran or something stupid like that. The gameplay is off and its slow. Atari really shot themselves in the foot with this release.
+therealbountybob
... EDIT: after some(!) time... 922400 sorry trbb but this game [Mr.Dig] is extremally boring!!! so boring that I wont try and beat your score.... NAH
Goochman
Dig Dug narrow - 67330 Much better gameplay at the expense of graphics....The 8bit have much better colors than what is on display here but this plays alot closer to the arcade. The C64 looks prettier but this plays better.

Goochman
Narrow Lv2 bonus 11,560 Wide 48,900 p.s. I re-checked and Goochman holds the record for Dig-Dug Narrow (553,700) You have those scores backwards right? The 11560 is a wide score and 48900 narrow? Otherwise my scores are opposite. Goochman
Yeah - I mastered the narrow version of Dig Dug a few years back - I wanted to break 100k but kept getting distracted today. Hopefully Ill get another crack at it.
