AVC Online Announces The 2012 Video Game Summit

Chicago, IL 9:15 PM 12/19/2011 Remember how much fun you used to have

playing Atari, Nintendo and all kinds of games on your computer? Well,

you will have the rare opportunity to play these great games again at

the Video Game Summit, Chicago 's premier video game trade show. In

fact, dealers in retro games will be on hand offering games,

controllers, systems and memorabilia and will be prepared to buy or trade

for the games you have held onto since you were a kid. Who knows, you

might just have an Atari cartridge worth $1000 or more collecting dust

in your attic.

"Retrogaming," the playing and collecting of classic video and computer

games, is more popular than ever.

In fact, a dedicated group of programmers still issues new games for

game systems, such as the Atari 2600, last seen in retail stores over

fifteen years ago. The Video Game Summit, now in its ninth year,

brings together classic and modern generation gamers from all over the

country to swap stories, games and to compete in sanctioned tournaments

and raffles.

The event is open to the public and people of all ages with an interest in

video games or computers are encouraged to attend. According to the

event's organizer, Dan Iacovelli, "we plan to have many retro and modern

game consoles for play”.

please be respectable to our guest, no offensive or vulgar remarks will be allowed

I'm not sure it's possible to be respectable to a person, but I bet people could try to be respectful. OK, so we can't make offensive or vulgar remarks, but I see nothing about video chatting in the nude with offensive and vulgar words written on our bodies with lipstick.

If you can't do that just watch with everybody else.

I'll be doing exactly what everybody else will be doing and watching something else like Celebrity Nipple Piercing on the Discovery channel. :D

Effective 8/1/2012 the ebook versions of the programs will no longer be free

the reason behind this is because I saw howmany people d/l the ebook and

rather then not getting any profit for the sale I figured to start charging for it

and get a small proffit from it.

ebook prices:

2011 program: 1.77

the current year(2012):1.66

these are basically the prices it cost me

to do copies for the show (I will only get about 60 or 70 cents profit from the sale

due to base price(.99) and 10% for lulu.com cut, still it's good)
