MrRetroGamer
http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?View...&sort=3&rows=25 As much as he makes it SEEM like this is a legitimate product by his use of wording like "factory sealed still in the shrink wrap" I find it hard to believe that this is nothing more than another emulator and ROMS on a CDR. Here is the quick link to report this (I have already done so, but the more the merrier ): http://pages.ebay.com/help/basics/select-RS.html Otherwise you have to search and click about 10 times before you get to this form. sku_u
It's been pulled. What was it described as? Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/19355-newbie-seller-selling-roms/#findComment-205936 Share on other sites
MrRetroGamer
It was described as PC Arcade Classics CDROM VOL 1. He had a list of about 25 arcade games from various manufacturers, and the picture was a crappy composite of a bunch of obvious arcade marquees jumbled together. He claimed it was "shrinkwrapped from the factory", and gave out System Requirements like they read off of a real box of software. He had 10 auctions for the same thing, newbie seller, (0) with shades. Put a fork in him, he's done now! CPUWIZ
Speaking of ROM's, what do you make of this ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=3001296885 He has a bunch of those for auction, seems odd. It's theoretically possible they're for real, he SEEMS like a reputable seller judginb by feedback. Maybe he bought a lot of these in an auction and discovered they were for a Halloween production run that was cancelled because Wizard went belly up? I was under the impression Best did something along those lines for their "prototype" carts as well. I would bet these are just EPROM's that have been burned or soon to be burned by the seller when and if they sell, looking at his auctions I noticed a bunch of arcade game manuals that are "High quality reprint from the original" so it looks like he has no problem with selling copied items. MattyXB
He sell more ROMs. But someone know, what this is? Atari 2600 Lunar Attack Cartridge Eprom I never heard from a Lumar Attack for Atari 2600 VCS? And why all his ROMs have 2 EPROMs? I have ever only see 1 EPROM for Atari 2600 games. Clearly he's churning out chips with a burner as fast as he can and hoping to make a quick buck. Does he know this is illegal to do on eBay? If not he'll soon find out! bcprs1
Also, it doesn't seem like anyone is buying. Why would you spend $15 when you can get the games for $1-$2.
